password required on opening firefox home page
When opening my firefox home page, I get a password required box opening up. I can simply x this box and it allows me to carry on brousing, but it is annoying and something I can do without. Have tried uninstalling and reeinstall, to no avail. have looked in my password list and there is nothing in there remotely refering to firefox. Any ideas ?.

Are you using Sync?

That is probably because you, or some software has added a site to your homepage list that requires signing in. Note tabs on the homepages list are separated by the pipe symbol |
Find and remove that site from the homepage listing
Use: Menubutton -> Options -> |General|-
-> Home Page: [...] <-- edit the entries
