Find In Page (Ctrl + F; Edit > Find etc) searches whole www and not the open web page
What do I need to change to search just the open web page?

Make sure that you use the find bar at the bottom of the page and not the search bar on the Navigation Toolbar. It is possible that the find bar is off screen.
Try to rename (or delete) the xulstore.json file in the Firefox profile folder.
You can use this button to go to the current Firefox profile folder:
- Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder (Linux: Open Directory; Mac: Show in Finder)

Thanks to you both. I was indeed using the search box at the top. The one at the bottom was invisible, possibly due to my task bar not disappearing sometimes. Right now it is disappearing properly so the search box at the bottom if there. Sorted!
