Firefox crashes on startup
Hi, My %appdata% folder says the crash report id is: Crash ID: bp-33827730-989e-4aeb-99c5-79b652151003
Basically, both my Firefox and Internet Explorer crash upon startup. I know this is definitely related to a virus I got earlier today. My avast protection couldn't handle it so I downloaded the free AVG version and that seems to have killed it. I'm suspecting that maybe some files were vaulted that were needed for browser startup or something? Or this may have been damage from the virus(es)?
I know it's not your area of expertise to know everything about viruses/malware but if there are any clues in the crash report as to what's causing this then maybe i can follow that trail since right now I have nothing to go off of.

Update: I got this problem to resolve, woot!
I did it by booting up my computer in a "startup repair" mode. I was trying to get to my BIOS upon startup but got to this screen somehow (i.e. attached image)
After I got to my home screen I also ran CCleaner and used their "Registry" repair option in case the problem was there.
One of these two (or both) did the trick. Thank you all for your responses too. I hope this helps others as well.
My OS: Windows 7 Premium Firefox: Latest version. Fresh install made no difference.

First, check this link, (making sure your system is clean)
You may have ad / mal-ware. Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.
Run most or all of the listed malware scanners. Each works differently. If one program misses something, another may pick it up.
The crash report flagged these programs;
atidxx32.dll = Advanced Micro Devices = http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop?os=Windows+7+-+64
icudt52.dll = International Components for Unicode
Perform a System File Check to fix corrupted system files Win 7, 8, 10, Vista: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/929833
See if there are updates for your graphics drivers https://support.mozilla.org/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration
Along the way you could try updating your very outdated Firefox. Another thing you could try is to disable your Happy Cloud Web plug-in to see if that is causing problems.

Note that the crash report looks like a problem with hardware acceleration (D3D11).
You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
- Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
You need to close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.
You can check if there is an update for your graphics display driver and check for hardware acceleration related issues.
