I NEED A SERIOUS ANSWER
I am not trying to be cheeky here, or disrespectful or anything like that. I need a serious answer to my question from someone that knows what they're doing with firefox. Not someone that tries to act like a big shot here. Here is my question:
DOES ANYONE WITH FIREFOX ACTUALLY CARE WHATS GOING ON WITH THEIR SHITTY BROWSER??? SERIOUSLY. I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS FOR SEVERAL YEARS. EVERYTIME I GET AN UPDATE.....I THINK TO MYSELF, " MAYBE THIS UPDATE WILL FIX ALL THE OTHER CRAP I HAVE GOING ON WITH FF" AND I FIND MYSELF GETTING ANGRIER BECAUSE EVERY UPDATE HAS A NEW PROBLEM. DOES ANYONE REALLY GIVE A CRAP ABOUT THIS GARBAGE SOFTWARE YOU TRY TO GIVE US?? WE GET THE SAME BS RESPONSES WHEN WE HAVE A PROBLEM AND I HAVE NEVER, EVER GOTTEN ANYONE THAT CAN ACTUALLY RESOLVE MY ISSUES WITH FF. DO THE PEOPLE THAT MAKE THE SOFTWARE TRY THEIR HARDEST TO MAKE IT AS SHITTY AS POSSIBLE? I DONT MEAN THAT SARCASTICALLY, I'M BEING SERIOUS. I CANT PLAY GAMES, I GO ON AND IT FREEZES UP, MY WEB PAGES DONT LOAD UNLESS I REFRESH THE PAGE, NO MATTER WHAT I TRY, SOMETHING HAPPENS TO IT. YOU, WHO CREATED THIS GARBAGE SOFTWARE, SHOULD REALLY BE EMBARASSED AND ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES. YOU'RE DEF NOT TOP NOTCH...YOU HAVE DONE NOTHING TO DESERVE ANY CREDIT. YEARS AGO, I WOULD SWEAR BY IT, BUT NOW, ITS CRAP.
SO NOW, TODAY, IT UPGRADED TO 40.0.3 AND GUESS WHAT, I CANT EVEN SURF A SITE BEFORE IT FREEZES UP AND I HAVE TO RESTART IT. DO US ALL A FAVOR, ( AND TRUST ME WHEN I SAY I SPEAK FOR MANY) IF YOU'RE GONNA GIVE US AN UPDATE, TRY AND MAKE IT BETTER THAN THE PREVIOUS CRAP YOU GAVE US!!

Have you tried;
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac Options) key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?

Having more than one version of a program may cause issues.
Avast is also known to cause issues.
You probably realize that support volunteers don't write the software that's troubling you, and even though we can see some of your past history, we don't know what has happened in between so we will repeat some suggestions you've heard before in case you changed settings or installed new software.
I reviewed some of your threads and it really seems that you have been having a hard time for almost two years:

The Shockwave Flash plugin has been a problem, slow performance, having to reload tabs, and probably some other things.
Have you ever tried disabling the protected mode feature of the Flash player plugin? That feature has security benefits, but seems to have compatibility issues on some systems that can lead to freezes/unresponsiveness and crashes. You can disable it using the Add-ons page. Either:
- Ctrl+Shift+a
- "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Plugins. On the right side, find "Shockwave Flash" and click the More link. Then uncheck the box for "Enable Adobe Flash protected mode" and try that for a day to see whether it helps.
Note: that change may not take effect until all Flash has been unloaded for several minutes, or after you exit Firefox and start it up again.
