I can follow the link, fill out the info, and then it reverts, presumably it expects me to enable cookies.

And for the record, no, I'm not satisfied with Firefox. It has way too many accessibility problems, partly because it enables bad standards and doesn't include built-in tools to disable them. And this site makes it hard to search for accessibility problems and solutions. It is better than the other browsers I've tried, but it is the best of a bad lot.

Hello Marja.

Did you make sure that you aren't blocking cookies and possibly other data?

Clear the cache and remove cookies only from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

Maybe it is best to stay in your other thread for issues with accessibility, so people know what your issue is about.

Dealing with accessibility problems is always a challenge. On most sites you can use built-in settings in Options/Preferences or change prefs directly on about:config, but there are always websites that use JavaScript to animate images or text is positioned absolutely and you can't use a minimum font size and zooming a page isn't working properly as well. If you visit a website regularly then you can consider to spend extra time to investigate what works, but if you visit a lot of website by searching via Google then this may be too much effort. If you use one or more extensions that can block content then you can always end up with blocking more than you are aware of and web pages can get broken.
