Does the file appear on Firefox's internal Downloads list?

menu > Tools > Downloads

By default, Firefox uses the system Download folder. I assume you haven't changed that. If you use a file manager to check that folder, can you see the file? If you don't have a file manager, you can get the ES File Explorer app, for example.
