I stupidly downloaded Firefox again...the last time it killed my old laptop which was rickety but worked fine. Dead now.

Thanks to the nasty malware that comes attached to your operating system. I had to buy a new computer and stupidly did it again! I can't believe that I have this nasty thing AGAIN! I only do it because this website that I must go onto requires it. Now it's back! This has already cost me hundreds - are you going to pay my bill? I"m so frustrated. I'm not a techie person so I can't figure this out. Don't leave me hangin' here people. Help! Nan

hello, when you download firefox from the official location at mozilla.org it will never come attached with any sort of malware or other unwanted additions. however there may be malware from other sources that is active on your system. please perform all these steps:

  1. reset firefox (this will keep your bookmarks and passwords)
  2. afterwards go to the firefox menu ≡ > addons > extensions and in case there are still extensions listed there, disable them.
  3. finally run a full scan of your system with different security tools like the free version of malwarebytes and adwcleaner to make sure that adware isn't present in other places of your system as well.
