Fixing Firefox 16 Toolbar
I've finally upgraded my old Firefox (sorta). I was way back on an old version. I upgraded to the newest version but the cursor and display were very slow. So I compromised and installed Firefox 16. It's fine, except for 2 problems:
1. I don't have a reload page button. I tried installing it from the customize toolbar function. It installed but it doesn't work. Hitting it doesn't reload the page.
2. The back and forward page buttons are *very* small. There must be a way to make them a little bigger, but I have no clue how.
Thanks!
Donald

There are no reasons to be using such old versions. What problems are you having with Firefox 33? We can assist you with those.
by using Firefox 16 you are vulnerable to all the bugs at https://www.mozilla.org/security/known-vulnerabilities/firefox/ from the most recent version down to Firefox 17

hello donald, firefox 16 is still vastly outdated.
please update firefox to the latest version as soon as possible (that's firefox 33.0.2) -using an outdated version affected by numerous known security vulnerabilities which will put the integrity of your system and your personal data at risk!
One truly frustrating thing is when people answer the question they know the answer to, instead of the one you ask. I'm not interested in upgrading my browser at this time. The newest version of Firefox doesn't work very well. So I'm still waiting for an answer to my question.
firefox 16 is unsupported as it reached its end of live 2 years ago. what we can try here is to get the problems you're having with the current release resolved...

I really dislike the holier-than-thou-art response from philipp. There are many reasons not to upgrade to the latest and not greatest version of any software. You can say you don't know, but "upgrade to what I tell you to or get lost" is not a reasonable response.
So poking around I found solutions to my problems no thanks to him. Two things. First, in order for the back button to work, requires a reload of the browser. Simple fix. Second, I could not change the size of the buttons, but by changing to "icons and text" in the 'View, Toolbars, Customize' the size of the buttons was increased. From the Customize menu you can move buttons on *or* off the screen. I was able to place them very close to how they were in previous versions of Firefox. For example, you can do things like take the 'downloads' button off if you have no need for it on your screen. Hope this is helpful to others.
