Hi, tbird 128.3.0 esr 64b w11p. A prob new to me. Only for MS outlook mail (aka office365 email, but no ofc365 on my laptop, just the email in tbird). -in unified folder view, my MS mail acct (it still has the "hotmail.com" address, but works), is not present -- that's the problem. A workaround is that I can choose both "unified" and "all" views together -- but while the MS mail acct now appears in the folder pane at the top, as well as in its own "place" at the "accounts" area below, that MS mail acct not longer has its messages appearing in the "message list" pane. I have to go to MS Mail's own place below, in the folder pane (as stated above),to see its msgs. in msg pane.

 I could use the "all" view, but it's not as nice & I never have had to choose that before this prob.

- I did run "repair folder" for MS mail's own inbox (again, below, in its own place below, in folder pane, accts). And I restarted t-bird.No change in behavior, unified view does NOT list my hotmail emails.

I have used & am comfortable w/config ed, but only when I have the proper instructions you may post in your potential reply (I am not a coder).

I have 2 email addresses. A personal one (outlook.com) and a business one (live.com). I have set them both up on Thunderbird and they seem to be coming through without any problems. BUT, I am now the only one who gets the live.com emails (through to my laptop via Thunderbird). Yesterday I alerted my husband that he had a couple of business emails to deal with which he does on his ipad via the mail app, and when he opened it, he had absolutely nothing there where there are normally quite a lot of emails there due to all of the mailing lists that our business has ended up on. He is not very happy about losing access to his emails and wants me to get rid of Thunderbird which I really dont want to do. Has anyone got any idea why this is happening please? I have spent hours reading about things that say to tick a box that says to leave messages on the server, but I feel I have looked everywhere multiple times and just cant find this box. Thanks in advance.

The Trash folder suddenly shows no messages contained. The folder repair procedure did not fix the problem. Reinstalling the app did not change the problem. How can this be fixed without loosing settings or data?

HI, I have TBird 102.15.1 64Bit installed on several different PCs and laptops. On my main Laptop I checked the Roaming\Thunderbird folder properties and found the following: Size on Disk: 35.8 GB Contains 253,172 files and 1,533 Folders. Is their anyway I can reduce the size? My TBird seems to be running slowly and occasionally stalls. I do not want to switch back to Outlook client program, I am not a Microsoft supporter. I do know I could move mail to local folders but would that mean I could only access them from one machine? Thanks.

When I opened my Thunderbird account today, on my Android laptop, I couldn't read most of my emails because they said they were Applemail. This happening even though Thunderbird is my default email provider.

Every time I try to send an email to Germany with address ending @yahoo.de I get an error message "AUP#Out-1120" I have previously sent to the same address with no problem.

Sometimes my email messages display lines of html formatting code and not the message mentioned in the subject line. For example, subject is "Is Letting Your Dog Eat Grass a Good Idea?" and message displays

I received on 2024-09-25 about a dozen messages from various senders in my Thunderbird mailer from the University of Calgary mail system, around 2 p.m. and at least 50 emails in about a 12-hour period starting on Sept. 19 at about 2 a.m. that had recognizable sender names and subject lines as well as time and date stamps, but were either replaced by text from emails sent years earlier or corrupted (encoded?) in some way. For example, the email below was supposed to be from "Physics and Astronomy general announcements" on 2014-09-25, 2:15 p.m. but note the date in the header. This corruption of new emails is happening at irregular intervals, and I would very much like to know why and how to stop it from occurring. It seems to me that there is replacement of the contents of new emails with old, possibly compacted, email contents, if that makes any sense. Emails read on my account at the University of Calgary webmail system shows no such corruption, so it appears to be a problem on my Thundermail mailer. Look I like to use Thunderbird as opposed to a clunky Microsoft system, so

any help would be appreciated.  Thanks for your attention.

missing Thunderbird profiles: Thunderbird works on my windows 11 box but, ]\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles can't be found. I see others have the same issue, all recently uploaded as I am doing now, so something must have happened. None of the suggested fixes have helped. Has anyone come up with a strategy that works? Thanks for any help or direction.

• I installed Thunderbird on pop-os linux (flatpack).
• Copied the *default-release directory from win to pop-os
• Imported *default-release directory
• The mail messages came over fine.
• The calendars from win appear on the left
• But none of the events or tasks from win appear on pop-os

I followed what steps I've found on line. I thought that if the mail came over, the other data should also be there. It appears at some of the calendar information made it, but not the events, etc.

I don't want to re-enter events manually. Is there something missing above?

Thunderbird stopped uploading emails 9/29/24. Webmail for same account still works so it's not a server limit there. Then on 10/2 it uploaded a few and stopped again.

I've updated, compacted, cleared some history. But still no email coming in to Tbird at home.

It wont send either.

pop and smtp settings look unchanged

How can I break the impasse and get emails flowing again?

Hi all, I am experiencing problems on and off with gmail, since the last update to Nebula a few weeks ago. At the beginning there was an error message, this morning they are empty, no from, no subject, no text.

I am updated with version 3.

Thunderbird used to work great before Nebula. I have repaired the folder in the past and it worked, although is a very time intensive process and my folder is quite big.

Please let me know if you have any ideas to help, thanks in advance!

Until very recently sending batches of emails, up to 250 at a time, using Thunderbird and data from a Microsoft Office spreadsheat worked perfectly. In the last three weeks or so all the data has been read from the spreadsheet and added to the email correctly apart from the email address. Where, {{Forename}} {{Surname}} <{{E-mail Address}}>, would produce, Joseph Bloggs <jobloggs26@snailmail.com>, I now get, Joseph Bloggs <"\"jobloggs26"@snailmail.com>. Any answers??

I followed the instructions for transferring Thunderbird data from an old PC to a new one. ("Moving Thunderbird Data to a new Computer"). The only email messages that made the transfer were the ones I saved from Outlook Express that were imported into Thunderbird on the old PC in 2014. None of the emails existing in my two important account folders (set up in 2014) made the move. Those, of course, are the most important ones. Now what? PS: I am not an IT professional, just a small business owner that needs to transfer emails from the last couple of years to a new PC because the old one is obsolete. PPS: It was not possible to install Thunderbird on the new PC without creating an account - - the installation program refused to move forward to complete the installation without doing this step. If I understand the instructions in "Moving Thunderbird Data to a New Computer, I was not supposed to create any accounts during the installation process. However, that proved impossible - - the installer would not complete the process without doing this and there was no option to skip creating accounts. After I made my first attempt to install the "Thunderbird" folder (containing the Profile folder, etc.) on the new PC, and finding my most important email messages didn't make the trip with the rest of the Thunderbird folder, I tried deleting the account I had set up as a required step in the installation process in order to install TB on the new PC, then uninstalling Thunderbird, in order to clear the account that I had set up (one of the ones I am trying to transfer over). In other words, I tried to start over with installing Thunderbird on the new PC. However, when I downloaded and installed Thunderbird the second time on the new PC, it reinstalled the account I had deleted!

Im doing a clean install and i dont want Thunderbird to sync and download some emails.

What im trying to achieve is to download every email to use offline and be in sync with the Gmail account but only the most recent ones. And i did this:

Inbox: So far in Gmail i moved alot of emails from the Inbox to another folder. How can i disable that folder to sync in Thunderbird? Because as soon as i log in, every folder starts to sync and download automatically.

Outbox: I did some research and its seems that is not possible to move emails from outbox to another folder. Is there any way that i can only download emails only after specific date?

By accident I erased all the info at the bottom i.e., all the items that are also listed on the left side plus the date and time. How do I get all that info back??

I recently received an email that I can't find now stating that Thunderbird is changing to something else. I wish I could remember. For the first time since that day, last week, I'm checking my address book, and suddenly there are no contacts in any of the various categories. Where did they go?
