I have all of my emails in IMAP folders. When I travel I don't always have internet access. It would be helpful to have access to work-related emails at those times. Two questions:
(1) Is it possible to store emails in both IMAP and local folders so I can access them offline?
(2) Is there some setting that can automatically store all emails in IMAP and local folders?

I've had two email accounts, both Gmail, coming through Thunderbird for years... Until I was forced to download my operating system again last week. I can get one email account to transfer emails from gmail account, though none of my old emails or files are available, to Thunderbird, but the second email account will not set up on Thunderbird again. Each time I attempt I get a "400 ... malformed'" don't try again message. When I attempt to import from the default backup files it only produces an error message suggesting I check the error message files. What am I missing? Thanks for your consideration of this inquiry.

While attempting a scratch thunderbird install client on my laptop, it returns a message " user_name""passwd" not found on server ( orange mail ) during accunt setup stage, despite of I can access with no problem my mailbox through login in. I did uninstall thunderbird, delete my default '.thunderbird' directory, reinstalled it and same result at same step. I checked with 'nslookup' for IMAP and SMTP Orange servers, they do answer pretty well Can anyone explain where i did the mistake ? I must add, LM was upgraded from LM18 to LM20 and so on, I previously had a working thunderbird client may be lost during various migrations ? Please don't ask me with which LM version it was, sorry. Thunderbird 1:115.18.0+build1-0ubuntu0.22.04.1 from Synaptic + Linux Mint 21.3 All ideas welcome.

Both Windows have the exact same versions of Thunderbird. Why should this be? Can I do something to get it to work? I will provide any additional information requested to get at this.

Recent new system. Previously used Office Outlook and backed everything up to a PST file. Found I couldn't import into Thunderbird, needed to install Outlook first and import it there. Did that. So I have an Office 365 Subscription active and have Outlook active. Now I'm trying to get those messages to Thunderbird, but when I go to Import and select Import From Outlook I get a red error "No profile found" and can't continue. Is there something I need to do regarding Outlook for Thunderbird to recognize it?

Hello, I tried following the steps on [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/.../moving-thunderbird-data-to-a-new-computer]. However, I currently have a flatpak installation where I land in a folder which also has executable among other files (?). I do not see the usually named profile folder and therefore cannot copy it to my new computer. Do you know how I can move in this case? Thanks
