My sent emails from 4 of 5 accounts disappeared in Tbird but still on their servers.

Rackspace hosts 2, inmotion 1, and gmail, 2. One gmail account has the sent emails showing in Tbird. All are smtp accounts. The send file header shows the # of messages sent but there are no results showing. I have not changed any settings or new add ons for weeks so I did not do anything new. Maybe the app updated itself and there is a bug? I see in beta that compacting folders is a problem and wondering if this could be related?

Rackspace has the sent email on the servers. InMotion has sent emails Gmail has sent emails and one of the accounts still has sent email in a gmail account.

I'm repairing one of the accounts as I write but nothing showing up in sent file for that account. This is totally wacky. Thanks for any suggestions of why Tbird is wacky.

My e-mail account was transferred from Verizon to AOL a few years back and I never experienced any problems until one sunny morning last week when I started getting the following message: "Sending of password for user pjklim did not succeed. Mail server pop.verizon.net responded: [SYS/TEMP] Server error - Please try again later." When I typed the password in the window that popped up the message reappeared. I know that AOL went to double login identification, so I suspect it might have something to do with that. I checked all my Thunderbird settings and they all appear to be correct. I verified the pop and smtp setting through a chat with AOL. What can I do? Regards Peter

I lost my ability to send email from either my bresnan.net or charter. net servers. I still receive emails. This started about 4 days ago.

I had trouble updating my email accounts due to an issue with the profile update. The solution for me was to delete the 42 copies of the profile and basically start over. Now I need access to some of the folders where emails were locally stored. I know where on the computer fined the folders/files of the old emails. How do I import them into my current TB profile?

I'm using Thunderbird for many years. Today I had to reinstall my Windows and obviously to set up my apps including Thunderbird. Unfortunately an error is popping up after I filled all of the required information. I restarted my PC. I reinstalled Thunderbird. I'm using the most popular email client in Bulgaria.

Nothing works so far. Screen shots are attached including the provided settings from my email client.

Thunderbird suddenly says "authentication failed" for my rocketmail email. Was working fine up til now. I can still log into the email directly via Yahoo. Any ideas on how to fix this.

I'm using Thunderbird Supernova, Can anybody tell me why I have (a DRAFT and DRAFTS) folders? When I save my emails for later they are saved in the DRAFTS folder, the DRAFT folder appears not to be used. I have tried to delete it but guess it must be some sort of system folder. Any help please. Thanks

In this help forum, is there a way to search for posting done by a specific Contributor? I find some contributors are very helpful and would like to see more of that person instead of reading thru a lot of posting. Thank you

I think Thunderbird did an update and now my email and my wife's emails are gone....including all of our saved emails. I believe we are using PoP accounts and not imap. Is there a way to get back all our emails?

Hi, I have just created a new folder within Local Folders, and want to move emails into it. When I click "move to" the new folder is not there. All the old folders are there - 10 of them. Is this a limit? Can it be enlarged?

Hi folks! I use Thunderbird Beta (128.0b1 (64-bit)) for my email currently. I've been having a problem with some emails, mainly in my Sent folder, showing up as long strings when I try to view them. It looks like untranslated code put into plain text to me, but I'm not sure what would be causing it. I have no problem reading the email if I log into our webmail to do so. Example text from an email attached. Is this a known problem? Any ideas on how I might solve it? I like Thunderbird, but not being able to search and read through sent emails is a real problem. My email inbox is really a task list. I find that I email myself items that I need to work on so that they are in the inbox. It's a tiny thing, but it would be so much more convenient to be able to view/edit the task list alongside the email inbox. I organize my emails with the listing of emails full-height on the screen with the preview window to the right of that. I would like to be able to see the Task List to the right of the preview pane. At this point, it appears that only the Today pane can be shown there. This requested feature is supported in Outlook, but the Outlook "task list" is not as nice as Thunderbird's because their "tasks" are just emails that have been flagged - not very useful. Thanks for your consideration.

My Thunderbird Inbox is set up to order the emails so the oldest emails are at the top of the list, and the part of the list that is showing in the window on the screen is the bottom of the list, therefore the most recent emails. However, when I open Thunderbird to look at the emails in the Inbox, while the list is in the order as just specified (oldest at the top, newest at the bottom), what I see on the screen is the section of the list of the emails that arrived about 6 weeks ago. To see the most recent emails I have to move the list up the window. It has been doing this for about 2 months.

Any idea why it is doing this, and how to 'fix' it, please?

Cannot receive or send emails via Thunderbird account. Window popping up stating IP Address Temporarily Blacklisted. This happened once before (about 5 months ago) and it corrected itself after 10 days of being down. The last email received on laptop was May 22nd, 2024. Last email received via Droid phone was yesterday, June 8th, 2024. Have tried a reset of modem and router. Have had this email account with Thunderbird for over 10 years. After reading the Community comments, it's unclear whether it's a server issue, a Comcast issue, or a Thunderbird issue. Please help get my IP Address UN-Blacklisted... again.

Using T-bird Beta 127.0b5 (64-bit) Longtime T-bird user, regular and Beta. Folders not showing in Folder Tree in 1 of 2 accounts on same outlook server. No problems with GMAIL or ISP email Spectrum). I've tried all the fixes in similar previous question but none worked. I am, and must remain in, Troubleshooting Mode to be functional. Thoughts solicited and appreciated.

Hi, I'm using Firefox 115.11.0esr (64-bit) on a Mac Mini M2 Pro running Sonoma 14.5. When I forward an email message with Firefox, multiple lines of HTLM text are prepended to the forwarded message. I've attached a screenshoot showing the first 2 lines of this prepended text.

How can I configure Firefox so that his HTML text is not included in forwarded messages?

I have been using Firefox on Mac for a number of years. This behavior started when I upgraded to the Mac Mini M2 Pro and this version of Firefox.

Email from a trusted address over past decade is suddenly going to Junk as of today. Cannot see how to whitelist the Sender, and googling the question tells me to go to Tools>Options, however Options does not show in the Tools menu.
