I am not a geek and I follow all the details of 'how to etc etc' but nothing works and the phone goes into random loops and keeps telling my I cannot sync (I KNOW that). Firefox has no phone number or email system for technical support (or any type of support) just this hit and miss system of 'forums' (or is that fora). I tried to send a bug report but I am NOT signing up for another (geek speak) account just to send you the problem. Please fix this issue - it never used to happen on older versions - how can I roll back my firefox to something that works properly?? When printing double-sided from Firefox 103, the second page comes out upside-down. A previous thread 'Two-sided printing rotating on wrong axis' reported this problem for Firefox 85 / 86, and said that it was fixed by updating to the current version. I have the current version, but am getting the same problem. I have tried manually setting instructions to flip on long side (portrait orientation), but that doesn't work. Help!

None of the menu buttons work at the top of yahoo mail in firefox when an e-mail is open, I am able to use these in Microsoft Edge. Until the last update of firefox they worked so something broke in the latest release 103.0.1 is my guess. I restarted without extensions and still broken.

Everytime I try to do a search in Firefox I get a Manuals Library page come up. Why is it doing this? I did a search not long ago for a user's manual for a product, and I guess I accidentally downloaded this Manuals Library. Now I have no idea how to get rid of it. There is no shortcut on my desktop for it, I cannot find it anywhere in my downloaded programs in Uninstall or Change a Program in my Control Box. I DO NOT want this program! Help please!! I want to be able to open, say, pdf files and NOT have them saved in the downloads directory unless I mark them to be saved in the open dialogue. Firefox worked that way for years. I reported this as a bug, I think in V.101. After much palaver, some of it irrelevant, the bug was reported fixed, but it has not been.

The bug number — it changed frequently — I last noted down was 1738574.

I developed a web app that checks the existing session login for each new page. So, after logging in the first time, the user is shown a dashboard with a list of functions they can access (My Account, etc). When an item is clicked and the application calls the function, it first checks for the existence of login session. If it's not there, then the user is forced back to login screen. However Firefox is deleting the session at some point so when the session is checked for the new function, the user is forced to login again. Chrome, Safari, Edge do not and are fine.

I'm running Firefox Dev edition and I cannot get it to load any pages except for Mozilla pages. I have tried all the fixes suggested there and it still refuses to connect. I'm at my wits end. Any hail mary optoins or do I have to reinstall and start again?

I have the browser.urlbar.trimURLs switched to TRUE but still as you can see in the screenshot it shows the complete URL with the protocols. I do not want this, I want it to hide it and only show the main link like youtube.com instead of https://youtube.com

OS - Ubuntu22 Firefox - Default firefox on ubuntu22 (Mozilla Firefox 103.0.1)

Use case - 1. Custom profile folder (named prof1) contains pref.js and chrome folder with custom css file. 2. prof1 is created in -> "/customData/profiles/prof1" 3. The folder "/customData" has full rwx permissions and is owned by $USER (not by root)

Output -> 1. When launching firefox mentioning the profile -> "$ firefox --profile /customData/profiles/prof1"

The browser does not load, but there is an error box saying Profile Missing Your Firefox profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible.

Questions -> 1. Is it possible to load firefox profile from root directory ? 2. If custom profile folder is created in "/home", then it is launching and working perfectly. How is this possible when the permissions and owner is same as the one in "/customData"

cookies deleting you have to search for each and everyone (why not sorted by installed date???) then one has to delete all the site cookies that are ok cause such a big effort to clear cookies!

After installing Firefox (103.0.2) on a clean install of Manjaro (21.3.7) Gnome (42.4), I started noticing that mouse hover effects such as highlighted tabs, UI of a video-player appearing etc. are delayed after my PC exits hibernation (I am not sure if that is the only cause and if that really IS the cause). Weirdly enough the select menu I used to answer the "Which topic best describes your question?" question to create this post experiences no delay in highlighting the hovered element. Relaunching Firefox fixes this issue temporarily.

To be clear this is no performance issue since everything except mouse hover related interactions are fluid.

I turned off Firefox updates because I'm sick and tired of having to download a new version at least once a week. So now I face a different problem. Every time I turn on Firefox I'm greeted by this annoying, unwanted pop-up spam message:

I want to disable this. I do not want to update, and I do not want to be reminded to update. Please don't waste both your and my time by replying "but you have to update". No I don't. I have nothing sensitive on this PC so even if I got infected by a virus or whatever because it's not the newest version, nothing bad will happen to me. At least nothing I consider as bad as having to update every single week. If there is no solution possible, I will simply stop using Firefox and use a different web browser instead. Thanks.

Firefox 103 screws with website zooming if you use the "Make text bigger" accessibility setting in Windows. 150% for example now zooms in a lot more with the accessibility setting in Windows set to 120%.

How do I undo this change so that 150% is 150% and not bigger than 150%? I had all my frequented websites set up how I liked it and now this comes along and messes it all up >:V at the moment it seems like 120% Firefox + 120% Accessibility is similar to what 150% in Firefox was like but it's not exactly the same. I've now gotta go futz with zoom levels for each web page I frequent again to find what looks most comfortable for each one.

Also this change greatly modifies consistency when it comes to the granularity of zooming. For example, what is 100% zoom when Accessibility is set to 120% so that I can avoid filtered scaling being applied to pictures? Why is the in-browser percentage indication not accurate with the level of zooming actually being applied?

The zoom level I choose is no longer the zoom level applied, there is now a multiplier in effect. So 50% isn't 50% anymore, 60% isn't 60% anymore, 70% isn't 70% anymore, 80% isn't 80% anymore, 90% isn't 90% anymore, 100% isn't 100% anymore, 110% isn't 110% anymore, 120% isn't 120% anymore, 130% isn't 130% anymore, 140% isn't 140% anymore etc.

A website that looked good at 133% can no longer be viewed at 133% if the Accessibility setting isn't also 133%.

Not a fan of whoever decided to implement this seemingly without a way to turn it off.

Taking a look at the screenshot attached below you will see the librewolf browser which is a fork of firefox, blocks system font detection by default. How does librewolf do that? I hope by reading your reply i will be able to achive the same outcome with firefox. I'm also interested on how to block system local time readout/detection with firefox as i have so far not found a solution to this issue. As a privacy focused person i do not see any reason why any website would be interested in the timezone of my operatingsystem. This information is most likely not even necessary for functionality. From my knownledge the android browser named bromite (source: https://www.bromite.org/) does block timezone detection by default, since firefox is a privacy browser i fail to understand why this feature is not included to the settings tab.

PS: I'm not interested to making any suggestions anywhere, i want to modify firefox to block both system font and system timezone detection, any help is welcome...

Since version 98, Firefox still saves files in the designated Downloads folder, even if I just want to open them. This new behavior keeps cluttering up the Downloads folder with unnecessary garbage. What I want to have in there is what I choose to download myself, not some temporary files. That's what the Temp folder is for.

The problem https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1370409 is marked as closed, unfortunately with no fix. Will anyone be addressing this yet, or do users have to get used to it?

I've been using multi-account containers for a long time. I've always used 'ctrl + shift + # of container' to open new tabs in a specific container. Recently, that feature has stopped working - but only for some containers? I can still open containers 1 and 2 using that shortcut, but my other containers just don't respond.

I've tried deleting the unresponsive containers and creating new ones, but that doesn't fix the problem. They work great otherwise - I can still open them with my mouse. Is there a fix for this?
