New version produces "Access Denied" when logging into Chewy.com Please fix this. I tried to add an image, but, like last time, doing so froze the page and I couldn't get back here. Had to start over. Can I revert to the earlier version of Firefox that worked? If so, how?

"You don't have permission to access..." errors are characteristic of a firewall that protects the server against misuse and this firewall thinks something is suspicious about the HTTP request. If you use a proxy or VPN then try to use a direct connection. Select "No Proxy" if "Use the system proxy settings" or one of the others do not work properly.

  • Settings -> General -> Network -> Connection -> Settings

You can try to clear the Cache and remove the Cookies for websites that cause problems via the padlock button or via "3-bar" Firefox menu button (Settings) to see if that fixes it.

I've seen cases where having enabled Resist Fingerprinting was causing this issue.

Start Firefox in Troubleshoot Mode to check if an extension is causing the problem.

If this all doesn't work then you can try "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history item. Note that this removes saved passwords for this website as well.

Thank you very much. I'm almost 80 and I don't know how to do anything you described. One of the site's supervisors helped me delete not only cookies but "everything" in the other option that opened up. It didn't help. But I can always call the company and have them make the changes. Maybe, someday, someone will put Firefox back the way it was before I downloaded the update. If you can (I don't know how - that's what I came to your site for originally), tell the Firefox people about this. Maybe they'll know how to put it back so the Chewy site works again. Thanks again.

I tried to login to this same page just now and it IS letting me login - I did nothing more than I had before, so maybe they fixed it. I just wanted to let you know, and to thank you again for trying to help. I hope there are no computers in heaven ... or else someone who can teach me how to use them!  ;-D Thank YOU!
