Have had M. Thunderbird in desktop HP computer for three or so years. The number of emails displayed in (Bigpond) inbox keeps reducing, now to 25. This regardless of deletions made. Installed M. Thunderbird in Acer laptop a few months ago and that device currently shows 675 unread messages. How can I get HP machine to display all 675 that must be in Bigpond mailbox if they are accessible in Acer device. Also have folders on left side of HP device that I can't install in Acer device. Please don't require me to "Confírm Identity" until that is changed to show me where I can click to "Allow." I currently can't access my thunderbird account because I'm unable to confírm my identity.

In the middle run you need to reconfigure the "Confírm Identity" page so my MacBook Air will show and permit me to click on "Allow." Because I can't, I am unable to use my Thunderbird

I have not received any emails today to my email address. I sent myself a test email which I got but when I sent a test email from my hot mail account it did not show up in my joni@priorityoneapprais.net email.

We just signed up for a Microsoft email account this weekend. Preferring to use TB, everything seemed ok as I was able to receive emails just fine, but upon trying to send emails, I continue to receive an error message saying "Login to server smtp.office365.com with username tom@callablefirst.com failed".

I have gone through many different troubleshooting techniques I read about in the community and here is a checklist of things tried:

1. Checked that IMAP is toggled on in 365 admin 2. Checked that TB is accepting cookies and no exceptions are listed 3. Tried changing SMTP server to recommended instructions from Microsoft and verified all settings are OAuth2 4. Enabled 2F Authentication 5. Used config. edit to clear out all existing OAuth2.scope files

I have downloaded a different email client- eM client and everything works fine sending emails from that end so I am convinced this has nothing to do with my password being entered incorrectly, but some unknown conflict that isn't getting resolved between TB and the 365 account. I prefer using TB but am getting to the point where this is taking a lot of time away from other business activities that need to get done.

I have my marketing guy trying to remotely help figure things out, too, but he is at a loss as well.

Unfortunately, somehow my setting for "sent" e-mails got changed so that TB only kept the last few months - acktually I want to keep them "forever" (until I delete them).

I have various profile backups - is there a way that I could just import the "sent" items/folder? I guess importing "normally" (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/thunderbird-import) would probably just result in populating the inbox with messages that I already deleted in the meantime.

Starting on 10/01/2024 Thunderbird no longer allows me to send or receive email.

When I try to read messages using Thunderbird, I get the following: Sending of password for user XX@msn.com did not succeed. Mail server outlook.office365.com responded: Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password.

When I try to send messages using Thunderbird, I get the following: Enter your password for XX on smtp.office365.com:

I have tried redoing the password and it does not help.

This is on a WIN/10 system. I updated to the latest version of Thunderbird and it did not help.

I checked out Thunderbird on my WIN/XP and get the same results as with WIN/10.

When I use Firefox and login to https://outlook.live.com/mail/0/, I can send and receive email as before. The same is also true with my Mobile Phone.

I recently updated thuderbird on my work computer and now none of the emails that were received prior to the update on october 7th 2024 can be viewed using thunderbird. it just shows a blank page. tried to restart using troubleshooting mode and turned off all my addons, but still my emails don't show.

sometimes one email out of the bunch will randomely work. but for the most part, non of my emails before october 7th at 3pm are viewable.

I already tried putting Thunderbird as a shortcut into the C:\Users\<myAccountName>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\SendTo (aka. shell:SendTo) folder. But when I use the "Sent to" menu and select Thunderbird, the file to be attached just gets openned by Windows as if I had double-clicked on it. Thunderbird does not even open a new message.

I also tried changing the call of the Thunderbird shortcut in the SendTo folder to: "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Thunderbird\thunderbird.exe" -compose attachment= At least, then Thunderbird opens a new message. But it just writes the path\filename of the file to attach into the attachment section. When I then try to send the message, Thunderbird says it cannot access it under this path.

How are you doing this? Thanks!

TB 128.3.0esr (32 bit) just started today, takes forever to delete an email from the inbox. No AV scans running and restart doesn't help. Also TB needs a restart after compacting cycle otherwise it just hangs with a "done compacting" message.

Recently, when trying to forward an email in Thunderbird I get the following message. "Login to server mobile.charter.net with username bobminer@charter.net failed." I don't know where to find this password or reset it.

In previous versions on Thunderbird I could highlight all my addresses in my Address Book (100) and "drag" them into my To or Bc address fields.

However, now when I do this as I start to drag them into the email a "window" now appears and asks "add as attachments".

The only solution is to add them 1 at a time!

No, I want to drag all 100 in to my address field as previously.

Gmail.com e-mails stopped being posted as of 10/7/24. You are sending problem e-mails to me at the Gmail address; but I am not getting the gmail postings.

some messages in my TB (128.3.0esr [64 bit]; macOS 15.0.1) do not show any content or show only completely random numbers, letters and other characters. Sometimes what helps is moving messages between the folders.

There is not such problem when viewing the e-mail via webmail.

I am using Ubuntu 20.04 and am setting up my comcast email. Using IMAP, when I try to sign into the comcast authorization box I get an error. If I set it up as a pop3, it goes thru, but then I get the inbox, but not the other folders. Thanks you for any help!!

This started yesterday. When I click on a message to open it, the header appears but no text. If I delete the message the header info remains in the open message area and I have to restart Thunderbird to continue. This happens on many messages, but not all.
