Artifacts have appeared within the program. Everything works fine in other programs.

This appeared after the last update. Judging by the picture, it's possible some of your icons are broken.

Please fix this. I can't use the program now.

Every since updating to Thunderbird 147.0.1, I have noticed that every time I start Thunderbird, it creates a directory called "Thunderbird" in my home directory! This didn't happen before the update and I have a '.thunderbird' directory in my home already! I had a search in the settings for the term "directory" but did not find anything that seemed related. But it seems to be caused by some new setting that has become activated with the update.

I am on an Arch GNU/Linux operating system, if any further information is necessary to help debug this, please let me know. Thanks a lot in advance :-).

I have Thunderbird installed on a Surface Pro running Windows10 and on a Surface Pro running Linux Fedora. When I use the Windows10 computer to prepare a Thunderbird export file for the profile, the Fedora machine Thuderbird import command will not read it.

The Windows10 machine has Thunderbird 147 and the Fedora machine has 146. Is the difference in version responsible for the failure to import the profile files? Or is it something else?

If the difference is the version of Thunderbird, then how do I get 147 on my Fedora machine?

If it is something else, what do I do so that I do not lose saved emails and calendar data from 147 version when I am running the 146 version?

Hi, The question is in the title. I have imported my Outlook data in this 32-bits version (updated to 140.7) . I would like to keep them in a 64-bits version (147). I didn't find the solution. Thank you for helping me. Michael.

Ever since Version 146 was automatically downloaded, all I see is a blank page and several icons across the top representing individual mail. (See pic attached. Before 146, I saw all my mail listed.) The program freezes; I can't click on any icons. Most of the time I am just waiting for something to load. I have to fight to get my folders to even see my mail. How do I get Version 145 back?

I want to switch back from the Thunderbird Release channel to the ESR channel but I do not understand the steps. Please help me with the exact, easiest steps. I am running Win 11.

After updating my Thunderbird mail application from version 128 to 140, the shortcut icon for composing a message is no longer responsive and I cannot create a new message from it. I can no longer create a new message without right-clicking on a sent email and using “Edit as New Message (E)”. How can I get back to being able to create a message from the message creation shortcut?

Enough is enough—every update brings problems, crucial add-ons stop working, and now drag and drop attachments have stopped working. It's really inconvenient. Maybe it's time to stop this nonsense and implement paid subscriptions or purchases, but in a way that makes everything work.

Dear demons, when will you release a new update that will fix the old update? When will all the normal features be working? It's time to get back to real work for the benefit of society.

I have been using Thunderbird Mail for many years and have been satisfied with it. I followed the recommendation to upgrade to version 145. Then disaster struck: the previous version was completely deleted, including all email accounts and address books. How is that possible?

My windows 10 PCs are running ver 140 (and say they are running the latest ver and no updates are available, but my W11 Pc is running v144. When I try and copy profile from 140 to 144 about 1/3rd of the directories are missing. I usually do to this prior to going on a trip when I copy from desktop pc running W10 to laptop with W11. Last time I did this there were no problems as both were running v140, but now that the laptop upgraded itself to ver144 that's no longer possible as a third of the directories end up missing - things like Inbox, Trash, Drafts, Archive etc which are fairly important. I've paused all Thunderbird updates until the problem is resolved. Can you help please?

Hello, I reported this problem and you replied with a solution and that was to downgrade to version 142. My question is: Then what ? Will I be stuck with version 142 for years or is Thunderbird working on a solution to this problem because presently updating to any version such as 144 only continues to erase local folder contents. I recent got the new thunderbird update. However i also loss all my saved messages and local folders and my contact email addresses. I really need that information for some IRS imformation. Plus u also get nothong but a bid Donate now message in the body of thunderbird. I have already donated several times. I need my information now. I am quite upset about this loss is data and email addresses.

While attempting to upgrade my Ubuntu Thunderbird client, I saw the attached screen. I'm concerned because of the unsophisticated style of the page, and the fact that it asks for my password, which makes me think "phishing". Can some trustworthy person confirm that this is a legitimate screen?
