It is as if Firefox has disappeared from my desktop. I click on the shortcut but nothing happens. It was working fine last night. I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling but still nothing. A window does not even appear.

Playback works correctly usually, but if I jump forward or backwards in time it sometimes never loads. This also completely bricks the whole brower, all other tabs etc, until I close firefox and restart it. This happens on all vods of twitch, and also livestreams where I am able to rewind (subscriber function). For at least a few months now, my browser will suddenly and randomly go fullscreen all by itself. I can't exit it, and then it goes back to normal after at most a minute. It hasn't happened in at least a week. But today, it froze like that, not responding. I quit firefox, waited a bit, then restarted it. It went fullscreen and froze again. I waited at least 10min and it then went back to normal and responded again. It only happens when using firefox. I've done virus scans, etc, and it still keeps happening. Please help. Thanks.

I thought I was updating firefox today but the process lost the order of my book marks and makes them extremely hard to find. Some I used several times a day with one click. Now it takes me five clicks just to get to them and then a search. The old system worked perfectly for my purposes. Is there anyway to get back the old bookmarks tab and my old bookmarks in relatively decent order? The text promised me all my bookmarks,etc. I never would had clicked refresh if I had any idea this would be the outcome.

I have st installed Lime on my old Asus Zenbook an have installed Nord VPN. I am using the Firefox browser showing connected to the internet but am unable to access my webmail account and its popping up messges advising Problem loading webpage and another showing 502 Bad gateway. I am also having problem with the Zenbooks Keyboard with keys randomly not operating when pressed but will work after a prolonged or multi pressing.

I use Firefox in Windows 11, but when I close it and reopen it, my three open tabs are gone, it is supposed to open them, as checked in settings. I see the same thing happening in the MacOs, but no answers for Windows either.

After reinstalling Firefox due to it being slow, no matter what settings, Firefox always opens and focuses on a new unwanted tab. But only if there are no extra tabs open except for my 5 pinned ones.

This behaviour started before I installed any Extensions.

How can I stop this?

After a recent series of updates to both my mouse and Firefox, my mouse no longer scrolls within Firefox. The mouse is Logi wireless mouse. Firefox is the latest version. The mouse scrolls fine in other apps, like WhatsApp, Outlook, Word etc. but not in Firefox.

When I try to scroll in Firefox, it stutters, jumps and will continue to jump even when I stop scrolling on the mouse.

I have spoken to Logi and there is no issue with the mouse itself.

I have tried Troubleshoot and Private mode, but still the same issue, so its not an add-on or extension problem.

Is anyone else having this issue over the last couple of days, or have any ideas on how to get back to smooth scrolling?

As described, I (changes being intended as temporary) changed the maximal size for the sidebar to open upon hover. Only when, at that length, I try to revert the change, the sidebar closes before I can "grip" the edge of the sidebar to shrink its length.

My issue is not that I cannot fix this change. My issue is that my change isn't permenant. I followed the standard steps of "Right-click anywhere on Sidebar > select 'Customise Sidebar' in menu > let Sidebar collapse > in 'Customise Sidebar' panel deselect 'Expand sidebar on hover' option > close 'Customise Sidebar' panel > pick up the RH edge of now stationary Sidebar by hovering mouse until the 'gripper' symbol (double-headed arrow) appears... drag RH edge of Sidebar to desired new max-open width."

The issue is that, after doing this, the sidebar reverts to taking up half the screen once I re-enable "Expand sidebar on hover" and reversing the steps listed above.

Any help would be appreciated! I'd rather not have to re-install.

I sometimes sell items on sites such as eBay. When I try to copy and paste the picture (from my Photos) is just a weird symbol. If I go to a different computer it works! If I go to a different browser it works! When I open a weather App the radar is all washed out with different colors. What's the issue?

I can't download some pdfs, notably my bank statements. I CAN download some pdfs. Eg, I can download my car manual (although it's a process of downloading it to my Google Drive). However, trying to download my bank statements, Firefox gives me no options at all, and, indeed, I get an error message. Yet I CAN download my bank statements using Google Chrome! I've carefully checked all my Firefox settings, but nothing seems to address this problem. I've spoken to my bank, and they don't know why I can't download them either. When I try to download the statements, I get a screen saying it can't give me a 'Preview' (see attached screenshot), but there's a 'Download button. When I click that I get a white screen with the 'error' message:

Hello, I've been using Firefox for years, but last couple months or so - it's been losing Internet connection - I have to stop and restart it and all ok - somtimes for 5 mins - sometimes for 15 or so - but it's doing my head in :) Any help appreciated - Thanks

I want to make the switch from Chrome to FF (to continue using UBO), and a problem I keep running into is media not displaying in Twitter(X)'s DMs while using Private Browsing mode. It only comes up as a gray block that says "Failed to Load" with "Retry" under it, but it never loads. It also asks that I re-enter my DM password every time the page reloads.

Everything works fine in a regular browser tab, the issues only occur in Private Browsing.

I have tried disabling UBO, disabling Enhanced Tracking Protection, and clicking the little shield icon in the URL and turning that off, too. Looking this up really didn't give me any results that actually helped, either.

Help would be much appreciated! This really is the last big hang-up I have to not switch.

Hi. Every time I go into youtube, the sound cuts out after about an hour. I then have to go to settings, volume mixer and Mozilla Firefox and click on the X to get the sound back. Youtube has assured me this is not their problem, but a Mozilla one. I've been with Firefox for many many years and have never had this problem. Could you please advise me as to what to do about this ? Thank you.

Hello, i recently upgraded from a 4k monitor to a dual 4k ultrawide monitor, and have been having visual issues specifically on firefox and no other applications. when firefox is out of focus and i have a different window selected, the text in the firefox window becomes blurry

It seems to be related to video playback but not sure. It was happening while a video was playing full screen, and also after stopping playing/hiding a non-full-screen video.

To catch the issue had to screen record at 240fps. I used Nvidia Overlay to record the issue, but was happening before the overlay was even enabled.

Disabled all addons, made no difference. HW acceleration on or off, still happened.

I have three email groups on Comcast.net. To view the members of these groups when using Foxfire, I have to put them into the addressee box. However, if I use MS Edge, I have no trouble viewing them by opening the group using the usual prompt. This has been going on for a long time. I am running Windows 11, but don't know the version of Firefox, just that it has been updated several times since the problem began.
