I just had a firefox tab with a pop up asking me to try ai features... my options were "yes" or "maybe later". How do I stop the slop sales? I want ZERO pop ups... from Mozilla or anyone else! I didnt see settings that would disable mozilla sales pop ups - is there some way to turn these off permanently? I have already turned off the ai features. Really appreciate any suggestions!

Issue Summary: When disconnecting from a corporate Cisco AnyConnect VPN on macOS, Firefox completely loses its internet connection and throws network errors. Other browsers (Chrome, Safari, Edge) continue working perfectly on the home network. Standard troubleshooting steps—like clearing Firefox's DNS cache, changing proxy settings to "No Proxy", turning off DNS over HTTPS (DoH), and flushing system DNS—do not resolve the issue.

Root Cause: Cisco AnyConnect locks low-level socket configurations and routing rules within the active Firefox user profile (prefs.js). Even after the VPN is disconnected, Firefox remains bound to the dead corporate pipeline, a behavior that standard settings menus cannot override.

Proven Solution: The only way to clear the corrupt VPN socket locks is to completely reset the internal profile architecture:Open Firefox, type about:support into the address bar, and press Enter.Look at the top right of the page and click the "Refresh Firefox..." button. Accept the prompt. Firefox will close, securely back up your bookmarks/passwords, generate a fresh profile, and restart.Internet access will instantly return to normal. (Note: You will just need to reinstall your extensions afterward).

I tried reinstalling firefox because I wasn't getting notifications from websites. I'm not getting notifications now either. I checked my computer settings and reinstalled the software on my Mac Book Pro 2012 version 10.15.8.

I work at a small daily newspaper chain, and our website CMS is both archaic and homebrew. I only work with it sporadically, and Firefox is the best option for maintaining it.

This morning, I got the regular "Are you sure you want to delete this?" dialog box (pretty sure it's a Javascript call) with the additional check box of "Do you want (URL) to not prompt you for this any longer?" (or words to that effect).

I thought, "Great, one less click" and made that selection.

But now when I want to delete an item off the articles list, it doesn't delete at all.

I'm pretty browser-savvy, but I don't know how to re-enable that option. Any ideas?

I have floccus extension installed to sync my bookmarks to my WebDAV server located in private network. The floccus bookmark sync is successful when the build-in VPN is turned off, but it reported NetworkError when the build-in VPN is turned on.

The time zone stamp when using my default browser Firefox is 3 hours off. If I use Safari, it's correct. The problem occurs when using Gmail or Yahoo. It is only when using Firefox browser that the time stamp on email in incorrect. It is a Firefox issue and happened during the most recent upgrade 5/12/26.

Love Firefox by the way... So, autocomplete in the search bar is often helpful, don't get me wrong, but it redefines the delete/backspace key to be context-sensitive. Now, sometimes it does what I expect and backs up one, erasing the character I just typed. However when autocomplete ghost text is present, that same key removes the ghost text only, leaving the character I'm intending to remove. This is enormously inconvenient as I now must watch to see what autocomplete is doing and adjust my behavior to comply. Were I designing I would not make the delete key dual purpose context sensitive, instead I would do both at the same time! Delete what I just typed and remove the ghost text. Safari started this, I complained and of course got no response. Subsequently I noticed the same behavior in Firefox. My suggestion, request, is that search delete key behavior not be decided for me. Either make this Safari behavior a settings option, by default is OK, so that I can choose, or (my preference) delete both ghost and previous character with a single keystroke! Lately, on certain websites, like Fox News - I open a tab in a new link and it just spins.

Today, I just tried to register an account with a glass company, and I hit the button to register, and nothing happened.

Yesterday on a different site, I went to place an order, and everything grayed out and it just stayed like that.

What do I need to adjust in order for this to stop happening?

FYI I was having issues signing onto my citizens online checking account and also signing onto my email account with comcast. After a while I disabled the NOSCRIPT extension which solved both issues. I believe this problem may have coincided with release 150.2

Firefox on macOS. After most recent update, when I open new tabs I get

I went to settings to make sure Firefox Home was the default loaded on New Tabs, which it is. How do I fix this?

When I opened up my Firefox this evening, I was greeted by a message stating that I now had access to Firefox VPN with version 150. When I opened up the link showing me how to activate it, I noticed I never got a popup on my browser stating to turn it on. Later when going through the instructions it recommended I try to add it from my toolbar but it was not there either. I am not sure if this was a bug or not but I am really excited for this feature and would love to test it out as soon as possible!🫶

I'm stuck signing into VPN. My email address is shown when I click on VPN in the menu bar but there's no on/off toggle. I click Get Started, it says "Signed in Successfully! Next: Turn on VPN" — but there's no place to do this. It says "Go to the open panel" – what is an open panel? There's an x in a dark circle next to the VPN in the menu bar. It feels like a continuous loop and I'm getting nowhere – that I can tell.

I’ve been experiencing synchronization issues with Firefox lately.

Current situation: Tabs sync correctly between devices, but bookmarks and passwords no longer sync between my iPhone and my computer.

I’ve also considered an issue with profiles, I currently have three Firefox profiles:

• default-release (currently in use)
• default
• default-release-1

I also used Firefox Troubleshoot Mode (restart with add-ons disabled) to test the issue.

sync-log : The sync-logs show many success-sync entries and only a couple of error-syncs. There are no obvious connection issues (I’m using a shared connection in a rural area). However, bookmarks and passwords are still not syncing properly across devices.

Observed behavior: Sync is active and "functional" Only specific data types (bookmarks and passwords) are affected The issue persists even after signing out and back into Sync, and restarting Firefox on both devices

Checks already done: Sync is enabled for bookmarks and passwords Sync logs mostly show successful operations rather than errors

Hypothesis: A Firefox profile conflict

Question: How can I restore Sync properly without losing my bookmarks, passwords, or other data?

Using a Mac Monterey 12.7.6 and uptodate firefox.

Trying to use "tree style tabs". I'm trying to drag and drop a tab named "CHILD" to a tab named "PARENT". Instead of appearing in the tab PARENT the CHILD tab disappears and its content is added to the PARENT tab.

I would prefer the child tab to nest within the parent tab.

Today (4/27/2026) I am suddenly unable to log in to My Account on various websites (eMail, grocery store...) The business page opens but when I try to go to the account login page, I either get a blank page or the page spins and spins and never goes to the login page. I am able to get to the logins on Safari. I've cleared cache and cookies, and closed out of Firefox and reopened.

A new Facebook link can open Firefox and work, but subsequent Facebook links result in a failure. The error message is "This content isn't available right now When this happens, it's usually because the owner only shared it with a small group of people, changed who can see it or it's been deleted."

The Facebook links work with other browsers.

Restarting Firefox begins the cycle again. This has become a problem just in the last month or so.
