Attempting to follow any number of Ubuntu 24 HOWTOs to connect the Firefox I installed from the ZorinOS App Store to the smart card reader and they are all failing miserably so far.

I am trying to use...

I've tried a few other pkcs11.so's on other paths and FireFox just immediately crashes. This one it at least says it can't add it. The module is owned by root and has 644 permissions so I think it should be readable. Brave Browser is working well with cert auth via CAC and I already have the machine fully set up with logging in via CAC, locking screen automatically when CAC is removed, etc etc so I know that at a base level the CAC is working well. Just can't seem to find the proper link glue.

This is NOT the snap version of Firefox either, I am pretty sure. sudo snap firefox commands say firefox isn't installed.

Dear Firefox, My mouse is not doing the usual function. The right click is giving me different options like translate the word I highlighted or search the meaning. I just need the right click to copy. How did it even changed without my knowledge. Thank you, Alice

We have a web page we've created that is linked to by multiple other websites. For two of the sites where this is linked, Firefox (only) gives a "The Page Isn't Redirecting Properly" error. Using the exact same URL to link from other sites works fine in all browsers. Once you get the error, if you click in the URL and hit enter, the page will load fine. Any ideas? When searching that error, all the ideas I find tend to focus on the individual user's system, but this is happening for all users.

Each time I open the Firefox Icon on my desktop in AVD, it opens an older version and it prompts me to recreate a profile. I updated Firefox yesterday and brought over my passwords and bookmarks. This keeps reoccurring after we fix it each time. Can you help?

Evil Corp (aka Microsoft) updated my Windows 11 PC from 24H2 to 25H2 and now I cannot access quite a few websites (i.e. Amazon, Bank!, etc.) and some take a long time to load (surprisingly, my Firefox Home page...Google...also takes a while to load) . I searched the internet and found many so called fixes and most are very complicated and many contradict others. A lot of them say to disable DNS and reset network stack (using the command prompt) which I do not know how to do even though I worked in the tech business for 40 yrs (mainly data networking)...I retired 20 yrs ago...so I'm old...so I'm not as savvy with computers as I used to be. I tried changing a few Firefox settings, but nothing worked, so I changed them back to the original settings that worked before the update. If someone could give me detailed (and hopefully simple) instructions to resolve this issue, I would greatly appreciate it. I'm am in a bind, so a timely response would be great. Every couple of minutes Firefox just freezes. YouTube buffers, all open tabs just stop working. I can open new tabs but i cannot search up anything or go into any websites. Is there any fix for this?

Hello, I am currently using Firefox Beta and I would like to switch to the regular Firefox Release without losing any of my data (browsing history, bookmarks, passwords, add-ons, and settings). I would appreciate guidance on the safest recommended method. Specifically:

Is it safe to install the Release version over Firefox Beta, or could this cause data loss or profile conflicts?

What is the best way to create a full backup of my Firefox profile beforehand?

Should I expect any issues with add-ons after moving from Beta to Release?

Do you recommend enabling Firefox Sync as an additional safeguard, or is a profile backup enough?

In case something goes wrong, what are the recommended recovery steps?

Mozilla needs to come up with a permanent solution to this issue. I know that Google probably started it by somehow changing YouTube, but Mozilla needs to react and come up with a solution.

From "About" on the Firefox menu I am trying to download the update from 145.0.2 but it is stalled at 27.1 of 31.3 MB. The little pair of spinning arrows icon just keeps spinning without making any further progress. I'm on a 2020 iMac running Sonoma 14.5 My internet connection is still functioning. I'm wondering what I should do. Is there a way to just cleanly stop and start over? Or stop and continue.

How do I minimize the web page when I don't see the usual icon at the top of the page. Now, I've attached a screen shot that does not show any icon of other means of minimizing that screen. I'm running Windows 11 and WORD 2021.

So if I download an attached file on gmail using Firefox... it crashes. If I open up a new tab on Firefox... it crashes. It only started this week.

I'm using 12.7.6 and I really don't want to go back to Chrome, so I hope you can help.

The macbook completely freezes apart from the mouse pointer which moves, but cannot open a thing. Every time I have to turn the macbook off to restart it.

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the latest version.

Hello, I have been using Firefox for 15 years, you guys are awesome. I have a few issues before with Firefox, in the past but were easily fixed by a refresh or new install, PC reset. I have tried these options and more, and still I cannot see why websites are not connecting, I recently tried Norton Anti track, didn't see anything new deleted after 3-days? (Properly)I am sure anti track is the cause of the problem, it was running fine until deleted extension removed everything. Norton did a remote session taking screen shots of computer and stated Firefox is is just not working. I can access the websites from that browser. I reinstalled Firefox* after install of Norton product, which usually likes to control everything on your computer. I have a HP Pavilion desktop running windows 11/// I just cant seem to get to my accounts seem to be block by something? Account i have had for years. I have done everything on Mozilla help articles, but still not letting me in to the websites??? some are opening email AOL, CVS and a few others, even my Amazon Prime account hesitates while browsing?I had and AOL pop-up stating My GP? settings? could not find it. Can you help any info would be appreciated. Firefox is my default browser and I miss it. Thanks to all at Mozilla, best, Thomas user.
