I have just installed Firefox on my new notebook. After some use I opened again and I had an option for restoring sessions - I restored them and Firefox stopped working. I've restarted notebook - it didn't help. I've reinstalled it - it happened again.

The Shockwave and Java applications may need 'PLUGIN UPDATE' for newer versions. Suggest a check for any outdated PLUGIN UPDATE found from the Mozilla Firefox Toolbar 'Help' Menu > 'Firefox Help' > [lower right margin displays link to more info to review and 'UPDATE PLUGIN's!

Try to open Firefox in offline mode via the Profile Manager or try to open the about:blank page by modifying a copy of the desktop short cut and add about:blank to the command line.

You can also try to delete the sessionstore.js file and possible sessionstore-##.js files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
