FIrefox lost all of my settings

Firefox session manager crashed and now nothing works. None of the articles on how to fix your profile, bookmarks, etc worked at all. I completely uninstalled Firefox 14.0.1 and used Iolo System Mechanic to clean the register. I then rebooted. When I tried to install Firefox, it will not create a profile and it will not let me type in any website and got there. Basically, it does nothing. I have seen this several times on my clients systems. I wish Mozilla would get rid of their session manager as it is useless.

There are no files in the profile that Firefox created. So there is nothing to recover.

I back up the profile every night. I even tried to recover that profiles and the day before profile. That did not work. Next I will try importing my profile from my other computer as both as set up the same.
