cannot open a new firefox window once one is open

Once I open one Firefox window, I cannot open another one. No error messages received, Firefox just will not open a second time! If I close out of the one open window, I have to log off of my PC then log back in again in order to connect.

Do you have that problem when running in the Firefox SafeMode?

Are you using the Firefox desktop or QuickLaunch icon to open the second window? If so, try pressing Ctrl+N or using File > New Window to see whether that works any better.
