I recently installed the Thunderbird app on my Samsung S25. I use two email providers - hotmail.com and comcast.net. Thunderbird gives incoming email notifications for my hotmail address but not for comcast.

One of the posts I saw said to make sure the app runs in the background and there are no battery restrictions. Mine was already running in the background and I removed battery restrictions. That did not solve the problem.

Hello

Here's a few suggestions to try ...

Navigate to settings > account (comcast) > notifications

a. Check you have "new mail notifications" ticked.

b. Scroll down to the section "Notifications categories"

  1. Tap messages.
  2. Confirm "Allow notifications" is enabled
  3. Confirm a ringtone is assigned.

c. Navigate to settings > general settings > notifications Disable quiet time if enabled to rule this out as a possible factor.

d. If your comcast account is using an imap connection ...

  1. Open the side bar with your account folders displayed
  2. Tap manage folders (bottom of list)
  3. Tap a folders name eg. Inbox
  4. Toggle "Notifications" ON if disabled
  5. Toggle "Enable Sync" ON if disabled

Thanks for the suggestions. I couldn't find anything amiss. However, I did discover some useful settings I didn't know were available.
