My ATT Mail provider account was hacked. I changed the PW with ATT, but Thunderbird will not accept the new Password for that account or my gmail account

AT&T accounts require that you create a secure mail key and use that in TB in place of the account password:

As for gmail, check that OAuth2 is the authentication method for the incoming and outgoing servers, and that cookies are accepted in TB (not browser) Settings/Privacy & Security.
