Hi, when you start a download, Firefox checks whether there are instructions on the Settings page for the specific content-type and, if not, it saves the file automatically. To modify those settings, check out:
- "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Settings (previously "Options")
- type or paste about:preferences into the address bar and press Enter to load it
Scroll down to the Downloads section and look for the Applications list. Here you can switch the Save File items to Always Ask, if you prefer that, and below the box, same thing.
