Hi 81marine, why are you unable to download the Flash player plugin? Could you see whether you can get an installer this way:

• "Other versions" page: https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ (specify 7/Vista/XP and the NPAPI plugin for Firefox)

• Direct link: http://download.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/latest/help/install_flash_player.exe (Macromedia is the company that developed Flash, and Adobe still uses its old site at macromedia.com)

Second, since Firefox hardware is not supported, what should I use? I'm new at this process. Thank you for your support.

I'm not sure what you mean by Firefox hardware.

If the problem is that you can't play video on a lot of sites, could you check this article: Fix video and audio problems on Firefox for Windows N editions.

81marine, the legacy Firefox ESR (Extended Support Release) is almost End Of Life or EOL. Firefox 52.9.0 ESR out on June 26 and will bethe last major update (besides and minor update for security and allowed stability fixes). The 52 ESR will be made EOL on Sept 5 (with no more support or update) when only 60 ESR gets a major update as in 60.2.0esr. Firefox 53.0 and later Releases including 60.0 does not run on WinXP or Vista.

Chrome, Chromium, and Opera dropped of the old EOL Windows XP and Vista OS's back in April 2016 so that is not an option.

Besides updating to Windows 7, 8.1, 10 the only other option to use more current Firefox Releases would be to say dual boot with a light 32-bit Linux distro. Some still support the old 32-bit CPU's like Lubuntu and Xubuntu among some others.

Disable what? as there is no such thing as "Firefox hardware" as Firefox itself is a web browser.
