I have two computers using Firefox sync (not sure if that matters) and a total of 4 extensions: Lastpass Tabmix Pro Back Is Close Webroot

Randomly I'll open firefox and some/all will have disappeared and I have to reinstall them. Sometimes like this morning an extension will be in the list and say it (back to close) has been removed, would you like to undo that? Lastpass was completely gone, tabmix and webroot were still there.

If you have sync, and there is a problem anywhere, Shut Down Sync Immediately On All Devices to prevent the problem from spreading. Once the problem is fixed, perform the same repair on all computers before using sync again.

It’s possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.

Type about:support in the address bar and press enter.

Under the page logo on the left side, you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Folder. To its right press the button Show Folder. This will open your file browser to the current Firefox profile. Now Close Firefox.

Delete all extensions files and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.

New files will be created when required.

After, restart Firefox.
