I have installed TB 145.0 and am unable to successfully join to a M365 account for Calendar / Contacts. Mail operates as expected.

We are testing TB145 for this specific feature, as it is supposed to be operational without the TBsync application to handle such syncing directly.

I have disabled the Account Hub, as some have prescribed, without success.

Thoughts?

My gmail account has two Sent folders.

1) A folder Sent in TB. Its location in properties is (host)@imap.gmail.com/Sent. But its contents correspond to the gmail account's label [imap]/Sent.

2) Another folder Sent Mail in TB. Its location in properties is (host)@imap.gmail.com/[Gmail]/Sent Mail. But its contents correspond to the gmail account's System label Sent.

So gmail's sent mail appears in #2 - TB's Sent Mail folder - and TB's filters that run after sending mail don't run on it.

How can I straighten this out? Just swap the locations in the two folders' properties? That will make them incorrect but maybe make it sync correctly.

How to remove extraneous characters in email content? (i.e. =, 3D and sometimes others) Some google suggests changing thunderbird encoding.

(1) If that is the answer... HOW to do that and to WHAT should it be changed to?

(2) Also, When I click "Edit as new message", the extraneous characters do not show up!

Somehow I have many emails on the same topic (like 40 or 50 of them, going back over several months, even years) all piled up on top of each other, and then I have to close them all one at a time when I need to switch off my PC.

It does not seem to be due to being in Conversation View. I have followed 2 or 3 videos re how to get out of Conversation View, going into settings etc, only to discover I appear to be not in it in the first place.

Is threading different from conversation view?

When I right click on a folder in Local Folders and select “Copy To” and then select another local folder to copy it to it moves the folder, it doesn’t copy it. It shows up in the new folder and is deleted from the folder where it was, which is what you’d expect if the same procedure was carried out with the “Move To” command. In effect, for me “Copy To” is broken. Running latest version on Windows 11. Tried it in Troubleshoot Mode also, but no luck.

My gmail account in Thunderbird has only two folders, the Inbox and the Drafts folder. so when I delete a message, it lines out the message in the inbox with a single line strikeout and then in order to get it out of the Inbox I have to leave the Inbox and then when I come back to it the message is actually gone from the inbox. When I am using my laptop rather than my desktop computer, all of the folders are there and the messages, when deleted go to the "Trash" folder and are removed from the Inbox. I have been looking for a way to get all of those folders that are normally a part of the other accounts that I have on Thunderbird without success. Is there anyone here that knows how to restore those additional folders to the Gmail account that does not currently display them?

I recently downloaded Thunderbird. Due to comcast transfer of email to yahoo, I now have a yahoo account with a comcast email address. Using the export.mail.imap.yahoo.com incoming server, I was able to get all my mail into Thunderbird. At some point, I was asked to compact my folders. I replied yes. After that there were only 2000 messages in my inbox. To recover, I had to change my settings for my email address to an incorrect one and then back to the correct address. That started the rather lengthy import process again. My inbox is 3GB. What went wrong and how do I avoid this from happening again?

Why is this folder SO LARGE !!! C:\Users\xxxx\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\6v2ccsvd.default-release\ImapMail

On my PC, it is over 3.5GB !

How can I minimize it !

In Thunderbird one of the folders somehow became grey and appears in italics. I can read contents but suddenla not save new files in the folder. What can I do to fix it?

Hi, Has the header disappered in Betterbird? It used to be at the top of each email, with the subject title, and the date and time the email was received. Is there a way to bring it back? Thanks, Des

Namely, that my antivirus program quarantined the entire inbox file upon detecting malware embedded in a single message.

So I encourage people who encounter this issue to explore that as a potential cause.

If a folder has been compacted and now only shows emails that have been starred, is there any way of retrieving the files that have been compacted? I am using Thunderbird version 144 on Windows 11 Thanks Michael

I am having trouble adding my yahoo email account to Thunderbird. It keeps telling me I have the wrong email, password, or configuration. I definitely have the correct email and password. What can I do? I don't know how to change the configuration.

I have contacted support earlier and received a reply through Spectrum webmail giving me a ticket ID 344188 and this is the first that I have had time to resume working on the problem. My email address with Thunderbird is [edited from public] @columbus.rr.com. Besides the Spectrum webmail I also have access to Gmail with the address: [edited from public] @gmail.com Other contact means are: phone [edited phone# from public] and postal mail: [edited mailing address from public community support forum]

My Thunderbird program stopped sending on about 11/3 and the last incoming mail was on 11/5/25. The folders to save emails have also gotten rearranged and some missing. I hope you can help me with Thunderbird, which I have used for many years and have donated to it an Mozella regularly for the past few years. Respectfully, Richard E. Hartle

Thunderbird program is all messed up. First, I cannot send an email, even to myself, and get error message:

"Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail: Outgoing server (SMPT) error. The server responded: p-impout005.msg.pkvw.co.charter.net cmsmtp Connection Rejected - see htto//www.spamhaus.org/query/ip/121.127.34.205 AUP#Out-1220."

Spectrum person I called referred me to Spectrum.net, and I am unable to get any help in that web site. My Thunderbird inbox page also now has the saved items in the left column all mixed up. Please help! Richard E Hartle cell phone: [edited phone# from public community support forum]

I have been using Thunderbird for years. Until now, I deleted messages from my folders and trash, and I saw that they disappeared, but I checked that all these messages were still in the folder. When I deleted them from there, they were still visible after a second. I have almost 70,000 messages, and I want to delete a large part of them efficiently. My email is on Gmail, what should I do?
