Several emails downloaded then the text/body vanished and cannot be accessed. Can they be recovered

Thunderbird jammed with a "not responding" on a message with chinese characters only (I was trying to mark as "junk" at the time) there after the emails downloaded already (one of which I had already printed out) remained on the system but had no visible text/body and when I clicked "view source" I got row of "?" symbols you see in the attached screenshot (EDIT: attachyment not loading...) . I shut down and ran Norton which showed no infection and reopened. Subsequent emails appear OK but the few that were left from the previous session all have this same lack of body. Is this an infection of some kind ( if so it's not appearing on the lastest updated Norton)? Can I recover the emails somewhere ?

My emails all of a sudden on my laptop are showing read when I have not read them. I do have emails on phone as well but have not opened it today and new emails some are showing read others not. It just started and have had this set up from the getgo. This is my business email so I need to be able to read from either phone or laptop without missing an important email that is no showing as new when it is!!

If I change isp can (also has our main e-mail) can I still import it to a thunderbird with the old address

Lost my Local Folders

When I attempt to address my email messager, I get a series of suggested recipients. Many addresses are not in my address book. I would only like to see addresses that I have in my address book.

I have deleted some of the addresses from my address book, but still get them in the list of suggested recipients. Many of the addresses are variants of legitimate addresses, but "bounce" if I inadvertenly select one.

Need help on how to permanently get these addresses out of the list of suggested addresses.

Emails sent to us show on the phone, but not on the Thunderbird Email browser. Also when trying to move an email from one folder to another they do not arrive, but go into thin air. When searching for these emails by for example display all emails from xyz sender, they show op, but when trying to open the email is vanishes again. This affects both the main email used for Thunderbird as well as forwarded ones.

I have gone to properties, repair folder, but that has not solved the isse.

Help, PLEASE!!!!

Hi I cant open my inbox with Thunderbird. A about 10 days ago it asked for a new password which I thought was odd, but gave one just slightly altered from the original. Then this message comes up (CLIENTBUG) SELECT cant open in this command. Has anyone any idea how to get out of it and get my emails in and those that were here back again. Many thanks

Creates AND SENDS multiple copies of drafts

In addition, my instance of T-bird (ver. 78.0) now has begun *SENDING* the automatic draft saves instead of saving them! One of my recipients received *SEVEN*, slightly different copies of the same e-mail message, complete with typos and attached photos!

Furthermore, I thought it was a bug in the new T-bird version. So, I backed up all my files including my profile, then uninstalled T-bird, rebooted the laptop, then installed an older version of (ver. 68.11.0, as I remember). There was some improvement: The older T-bird didn't send the saved drafts, but it still saved multiple, serial copies.

But wait! There's more! I am running both Win 8.1 and Kubuntu 20.04 LTS on my laptop as dual boots. So, when that last experiment failed so badly, I rebooted to Kubuntu, and ran the Linux version of T-bird (ver. 78.0 as well, I think. But I don't want to reboot right now to double-check.) Same story: Multiple, serial drafts!

But then last night, the Kubuntu version of T-bird began SENDING multiple, serial drafts to the recipient!

And both of the two Windows versions and the Kubuntu version committed the same error whether I used the "Save" button or the keyboard shortcut ( <Ctrl>-S).

So, I am at a complete loss. I have no idea of what to do next. Or where to even continue looking.

Wait! The thought just hit me that I'm using more or less the same profile contents in all three instances. If the problem lies there, what part of my profile would mangle the function of the "Save" command? What do I need to do to fix it? (Without losing all my other profile customizations.)
