I can no longer use mozilla thunderbird because Of all the password requirements. I don't know what all these passwords are. Can't I just delete all password requirements?

Hi. Just upgraded to Thunderbird 115.3.2. Where is the 'Mail Toolbar' of previous versions, which used to contain Get Messages, Write, Tab (plus maybe other options). Thanks. MK

I have been using Thunderbird 102.14.0 for some time but it has suddenly stopped saving sent files to the sent directory. The file is sent to the recipient.

the message I get:- Your message was sent but a copy was not placed in your sent folder (Sent) due to network or file access errors. You can retry or save the message locally to Local Folders/Sent-anathan@iinet.net.au.

I keep getting this message whenever I try to get my emails. "Login to server ... with username ... failed"

I have no idea what to do to get the emails coming in. This has happened before, but eventually seemed to fix itself before I had to do something. There is nothing on this "Help" thing that seems to apply or if it does, I have no idea what the answer signifies.

I think I've done another password, but nothing came up or said anything regarding this so I don't know if it worked.

If you are kind enough to give this message any thought, please put your answer in words of two syllables or less & please don't talk about POS or Pop or whatever. I have no idea what that is. I just want to get this thing working again.

For the past 20 years FutureQuest.net has been hosting our website wilkoff.com. But FutureQuest has informed us they are going out of business. Our emails have been mark@wilkoff.com and linda@wilkoff.com. Also over the last 20 years we have used Thunderbird to access and store our emails. I have found a new host for our website so we can keep the email addresses but obviously the server settings are going to change. What do I need to do to make sure I do not lose all the stored emails on Thunderbird? Thank you.

Hello there! Please can someone help me? On my pc, lately, when I move an email from my Thunderbird Inbox to a folder, the message does 'go' from my Inbox, but it does not re-appear in the folder. In fact, the message seems to disappear! However, the message tally count for that folder indicates that the message should be there, but it isn't visible. It's obviously been happening for a while but I don't know when it will have started. In the attached image, the folder 'Chatham, Cape Cod' shows that it should have 10 messages in it, but you'll see that the folder is empty, no messages are showing. In fact, all of the 3 folders 1) Boston, 2) Chatham, Cape Cod, and 3) Virgin Atlantic show that they have messages in them, but on opening each folder, each of those folders is empty. I should add that, on my phone or ipad, when I view my folders, all of the messages are visible. It is just on my PC that the messages are not visible. I've uninstalled Thunderbird and reinstalled it, but that didn't help. And I don't know what else to do! I'd be so grateful for help as I'm not techy and, as I work mainly from my PC, it's proving to be difficult not having all of my messages visible in their folders on my PC. Everytime I open up Thunderbird to try to send an email, it says “Login to server pop.shaw.ca with username ricc failed”

It also says “Cannot get mail. The mail server “imap.shaw.ca” is not responding. Verify that you have entered the correct account info in Mail Settings.”

It also says “login to server pop.shaw.ca with username ricc failed” “Enter your password for ricc on imap.shaw.ca”

This on an IOS device (ipod 7)

My isp won;t help because they say they don’t support a third party application, so can you help?

My hospital phone doesn;t do toll free or long distance calls

We have been trying to repair the sent folder in Thunderbird without success. Messages do not get saved there. Several recently have ended threads an said there is no support for email but that seems to be confused? In any case it loos like there is no simple fix to get the sent folder back. Do you think it would solve the issue to uninstall Thunderbird and install it again? Thank you for the help.

I have two principal address books, collected and personal. I can add new contacts to these address books. Under collected, I have three lists of group contacts. I want to add a contact to a list in the personal address book. Searched under Firefox and lots of suggestions to drag n drop. Ha ha, highlighting the contact, the moment I drag it across the box towards the list of address books, I get the no-entry symbol, circle with a bar through it. Why is this happening please? How can I copy across the address books or lists? Why is drag n drop suggested when it doesn't work? I'm using Win 10 Pro vers 22H2 64 bit on a Dell PC. Firefox 118.0.2 64 bit. Your aid will save my mind !

cant send or recieve eemails for past week get this message???? This message could not be sent because The connection to outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.gmail.com timed out ... Try again ???

I upgraded to 115.3.1 from 102.15.1 this week. I do not understand the large increase in version number, but I have not done any searches. I have a number of complains with this new version.

1) I want to move one message to a Local Folder, and I get the message at the bottom "nn messages moved from Inbox to Tr.ash". The one message I wanted to move remains in the Inbox, and I have to move it again. When I try to move them again, the folder displayed is NOT the one into which I had just tried to save. I have no idea if any messages were moved from Inbox to Trash, and I have no idea how I would find them.

2) The font size in the window is smaller than it was with 102, and there is blank space on the right. Is there a way to increase the font size?

3) I read one mail message and I process it (delete it or save it in a Local Folder). Most of the time, the next message in the Inbox is opened. But sometimes the window advances to a message further down in the Inbox, and I then have to go back into the Inbox to access then next message I was planning on reading.

Unified inbox only SOMETIMES deletes emails when they ARE deleted in individual email accounts'. This leaves an mixed group of emails--some filed in new folders, some deleted and some awaiting action

Please can you help us, We have used thunderbird for many years. It updates automatically. We are sending email out to all different addresses, they are being received. However if we send an e mail to a G mail account it goes out and shows it gone but it does not reach the the g mail account . This is not just one person. this multiple g amil accounts. Our internet provider claims it is thunderbirds fault. Hope someone can help. John
