Hello. I need help getting Thunderbird to stop marking and sorting certain emails as threads. Seems to be completely spontaneous and for no apparent reason, even in the inbox. I have never actively marked emails as threads. I've tried to remove the "threads" function in the folder settings, but it doesn't seem to have helped in some cases. I also need help with getting the email "unstuck" from the thread structure, I have tried "Ignore threads" and "Ignore subthreads" with the result that the email disappeared. The documents I have seen have not been of any help. Reply preferably to my usual e-mail address, have a bit of ours with mail in the G-mail account.

I would NOT like to de-install/re-install TB because it's a good deal of work, and TB is a critical system for me.

That said, I keep a laptop computer for travel, and the filters work on that platform. IS THERE A WAY to copy a file or folder over from the working laptop onto my desktop machine, where the filters have failed?

Some hours ago my iCloud account stopped working on Thunderbird; I already tried re-entering the password, deleting and trying to add the account again, but it isn't letting me add it again, my account is working fine on all Apple devices and I have access to the mail on browser.

I've tried using the main iCloud address, the "alias" address, and using the real password as well as the unique "App Password".

Thunderbird version is: 115.7.0 (64-bit)

I haven't updated in quite some time, but finally updated Thunderbird to 115.7.0 (64-bit) on my Mac running Sonoma.

I've never had an issue until just now where any emails archived and stored on Local Folders no longer show any results when searching the Body using ⇧ ⌘ F (Shift, Command and F). Using the same search messages window for anything stored online is fine, but again Local Folders produce no emails even if I open an email, copy and paste a unique word from that email.

Is there something I need to do now to index my local folders and emails so they can search the body of them now (or a way to rebuild the offline email database)?

I want to uninstall thunderbird but i keep getting the reboot message saying the laptop needs to reboot after upgrade.It is also set as a default mail on sending any emails with attachments as PDF.Have tried rebooting laptop many times to no avail. Am not computer literate

Question about Thunderbird 115.4.1 and Gmail. In the "All Mail" folder... I delete messages - but only to see them still there the next day. I tried empty trash as well as compact folder and expunge - but I clearly am doing something wrong. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong and help me?! There is an email account profile on my Thunderbird email program and I simply cannot get rid of it. I have tried everything including running the program as an administrator and nothing works. None of the instructions to remove an email account anywhere on this forum works. When I go into the account settings, there absolutely no selection for me to remove a particular email account/profile from Thunderbird. I have removed Thunderbird, wiped out all traces and profiles for Thunderbird, reinstalled Thunderbird and this particular account keeps coming back. I bought a new computer, installed Thunderbird on that, and this particular email account suddenly appears on the new installation on a new computer. I can't get rid of it. I have folders and subfolders set up to keep emails organized. Here lately if I set up a folder or subfolder and move a read email to that folder, later the folder shows up as "Light grey" and the contents are gone. I don't have a clue what is happening.
