We have been using Thunderbird with a Cox email account. Cox has just transferred all its customers to Yahoo. I want to use Thunderbird with Yahoo. How do I set that up?

Need to set up Thunderbird to receive emails from yahoo. Cox is transitioning emails to yahoo presently have two addresses : cliven@cox.net and daciaandclive@cox.net

I have installed Thunderbird on a new (Windows 11) lap-top. When I get to "Account setup>>Set up existing email address", and enter my password, I get the response "Configuration found in Mozilla ISP database", but when I click "Done," there is a long hesitation on "Checking Password", and finally the message pops up "Unable to log in at server. Probably wrong configuration, username, or password." I know my username and password are correct. All configurations appear to match those on my old lap-top. Server is att.net.

I prefer Thunderbird for composing, reading, and replying to emails, and have a decade's worth filed and stored locally on an older lap-top, which I will want to import.

I recently reset my desk top and after that my thunderbird will not open without a password that I have not got. I need a simple way to find the password or otherwise allow me to reinstal a new download. I have tried for two days using lots of suggestions from web and help but I cant get past the request for a password

Hi when I uninstall TB and re install it still has old accounts info. I want an empty TB to then bring in new accounts / email accounts

Dan volgt de melding: Het bericht kon niet worden verzonden, omdat het verbinden met uitgaande (SMTP-)server smtp.office365.com is mislukt. Kan ook geen nieuw wachtwoord ingeven.

I have a 39 gig profile folder on a win7 computer and have copied it to a hard drive Trying to import to a win11 computer by importing from profile folder. Before anything moves I get an unexpected error with no explanation Don’t know if I need to try a little at a time or if that even matters

After over 10 years of TB its time to move on to a mail client that actually works. I manage 10+ different E-Mail addresses across 3 domains, Since September, the ability of TB to actually work is hit and miss. (Wont get messages, wont send messages, says messages are sent when theyre not, slower than molasses in January, overall TB has really gone down hill IMO) I dont have the time or the patience to go through and try to change a bunch of settings and do all this stuff (across 10+ email accounts, that used to work fine, but no longer work due to the 'upgrade'), just to find out its so screwed up that nothing works and I lose everything again.

So, what I would like to do, is extract client E-Mail address out of TB, so I can put them into a new email client that actually works.

I have tried upgrading down grading before I uninstall it, Id like to get my information out, rebuilding my address book took forever last time.

All E-Mail is stored server side, so not worried about losing anything there.

When I try to start Thunderbird I'm unable to login with my live.com credentials. The error says: "We can't sign you in..." Don't have cookies turned on. Any ideas?

Thunderbird 15.4.2 was made available today. Since 15.4.1 reintroduced bugs from 15.0 (Hot Mess Edition first push) that had been fixed by 15.3, and I had bugzillad one, I wondered if 15.4.2 had fixed the bug they introduced in 15.4.1. I installed it and clicked on the usual place for release notes, and got an error message -- that page doesn't exist! They always put out release notes when a new version comes out. This time they didn't. Things really seem to be falling apart at MZLA.

And no, they haven't fixed the bug. Mailnews_scroll... in advanced settings still works backwards (set it to false if you want it to work).

Hi i'm trying to use 1 inbox for multiple emails but inside the inbox i want folders to act as different inboxes (i know it sounds complicated).

for example as i provided in the picture i want to use the inbox named Eurasia as the main inbox and create folders within which i will use them as receivers for the all the other emails (Carlos, Sophia, Sent).

Is this possible and if yes please if you could provide me with a step by step guide.

P.S the emails are POP3 as well as the second screen shot if from MS Outlook and it's the final result of what i want.

I have migrated sackvilleandlane@westnet.com.au from Westnet to The Messaging Company, they tell me it is successful, but I cannot get emails. They now tell me it is my provider. Can you please fix it for me? With thanks Heather

Hi, I'm having a problem with my email. It comes to me through my website Bradfraser.net, and is hosted by Viux. Apparently Viux went out of business a while ago and didn't tell anyone. My email stopped arriving at bradfraser@bradfraser.net two weeks ago and all attempts to rectify this have been stymied by my not having my dashboard info for the site, and I am unable to get it from Viux. (Which seems to have a bot answering questions.) Is there any way you can help me access this email account and get it running again? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I created a Google Takeout file for my emails in my old gmail account which I am trying to import into my new gmail account, however the system does not allow me to split the files into smaller sections say 2-4GB which is what Thunderbird supports. I tried to submit for a 2-4GB split for the Google Takeout files and no luck...it always comes out in 2 files, one is a few MBs and the second file is over 40GB.

As I am trying to use ImportExport NG tool in the Local folders Mbox import, I get an error of Mbox All mail Including Spam and Trash-002.mbox larger than 4GB, skipping.

I've tried to find some online MBOX splitting tools, however no success as the file is too big and causing issues.

Any help with be much appreciated.

all of the sudden all messages are downloaded and immediately disappear. Also all folders appear empty. I cannot access anything I have saved, neither can I keep received messages in the mailbox.

I just downloaded the update (115.4.1), which has caused all kinds of problems. I can no longer automatically connect with my server, the typefaces have changed in my inbox, there are no longer 'get messages', 'reply', 'forward', 'write' buttons, etc. Can I simply remove this update? Thanks.

I can't seem to delete an old account on Thunderbird. It says it's a "special account" with no identity associated with it. Can someone help? I tried uninstalling and re-installing Thunderbird and the old account still appears.

I'm trying to set up a new protonmail account, too, and Thunderbird says it doesn't recognize the (correct) password. Is the old account causing the problem?
