HI Mozilla,

I logged in my email account via thunderbird yesterday 04/16/2024, and all the emails retrieved since 03/16/2024, it looks like only 1 month emails retrieved. My email account set up on 02/27/2024, but I don't get all the emails from 03/15/2024 to 02/27/2024. I used pop - hwhzpop.qiye.163.com 995 and smtp- hwhzsmtp.qiye.163.com 465 to log in Foxmail server successful, and pop-pop.qiye.163.com 995 and smtp- smtp.qiye.163.com 465 to login outlook server successful. Could you help me to fix this issue? attached screenshot is the 1st email of 03/16/2024 retrieved.

Just set up Thunderbird - inbox for email account mainly looks fine, except for entries at top of list with only time shown in last column - these are a variety of dates. After that section, my list of inbox messages proper starts. Can I get these initial entries not to display? (or if they have to, why?)

I have a thunderbird account but switched to gmail and now wish to return to thunderbird but error message 400 from Google appears each time.What do I need to do - in simple terms pls

Hello, I use Thunderbird portable. I imported as Imap an existing account at Infomaniak.com but all the personal folders and subfolders were missing. No problem, just right-click on the account and choose "subscribe" ("s'abonner" in French), ticking all the proposed folders. So in IMAP it works, but if you set the account as Pop3, the "subscribe" function doesn't appear. I need Pop3 for an account to be imported into Thunderbird. How can I do this ?

I have several profiles in Thunderbird 115.9.0 (64-bit) on Win10 with each profile having few different email accounts which got created over a period of time since we had changed some mail service providers (mail hosting server) earlier.

Profile A1 -Email account a -Email account b (period Jan2022 - till date) -Email account c

Profile A2 -Email account p (period Jan 2020 to May 2020) -Email account q -Email account r

Profile A3 -Email account x (period Apr 2020 to Aug 2020) -Email account y

Profile A4 -Email account z (period Jan 2017 to Dec2019)

In reality the email account "b", "p", "x" & "z" are the same.

Question 1) So how ii can merge all my emails from different emails accounts located into different Profiles into a one single mail account and profile. Please note that the option to retrieve old mails from server is not there as the service provider has changed so i want to merge all past emails into one mail folder from local TB database only.

Question 2) After merging, there might be some duplicate emails in the same folder. How do i remove the duplicates and keep single copy.

Please advise.

When encountering a problem with a new release and wanting to downgrade back to an older (working) version - especially if some plugin I depend on hasn't been updated yet. The current version is well marked, but it would be helpful if the older versions had a subject line like "Release 115.x.x (github commit id)" so we can do better than walk back one release at a time. All flatpak examples for rollback show meaningful subject lines, but Thunderbird and other flatpaks I actually use don't seem to.

Until the 9th of april I had no problem since then I keep on getting the message: login to server imap.tools.sky.com user namemorgandavid33@sky.com failed

retry or enter new password.

I contacted sky and I did change my password on their advice and I still cannot login. How do I get thunderbird to accept this new password. Or is there another issue with logging in?

The Sky.com email is now provided by Yahoo. I can access my emails there but I prefer Thunderbird and have used it for some time now. Thank you for your help.

Hello, I have two email addresses, one personnel, one business. The other night, Thunderbird asked me to download an update. Since downloading the update, all my business emails and subfolders are gone and have been replaced by my personnel email address and subfolders. (in the left hand pane - pic attached) The business emails and subfolders are on my main server yahoo, but are not on my Thunderbird program. Can someone help me to recover the business email address emails and subfolders? Thank you.

Sadly, my old Windows 10 PC crashed, and I'm migrating to a new computer. I have a backup of the old default profile folder (9k7faw1z.default), but not of the entire Profiles folder. I have tried to import this old default profile using the import function in my new Thunderbird install on my new Windows 11 computer.

Alas, I get the error message "Import failed unexpectedly; more information may be available in the Error Console." I looked in the error console, and it's empty.

Is there a better way to import my old data from my old default profile folder? It's 3GB of valuable data and I'll be in a pickle if I can't access it.

We've enjoyed T'bird on this PC for several years. About a year ago my wife got a new laptop; it came with Outlook as the default email program. It worked only fairly well, but now it has pretty much bitten the dust. I installed T'bird for her and it's working fairly well, but with a couple minor bugs. First, there is no address book in it and also the menu bar across the top is missing. HELP!!!!!

I have been forced by Rogers in Canada to migrate my internet service from their legacy internet service to Rogers Ignite with its Ignite (Comcast) gateway. My email accounts were supposed to be migrated automatically, but, for reasons unknown, were not, and a tech support representative had to migrate them from the old legacy service to Ignite. After that was done, I opened Thunderbird, and was asked to authenticate my 2 Rogers/Yahoo email accounts, one of which is my primary account, the other a secondary account. I was asked to authenticate the secondary account first, which went well. I then clicked on my primary account in the left-hand pane and was again asked to authenticate, but the dialogue box showed it was for the secondary account. Thinking that this secondary account authentication was just being repeated for no particular reason, and not thinking that the email address in the authentication request box could be changed, I clicked Agree. My primary account is now showing the exact same emails as are listed in the secondary account, and I'm extremely concerned that I will not be able to recover all of the thousands of emails in my primary account, many of which are business-related. When I log into my primary account on the Rogers/Yahoo mail website, the emails in the primary account are still showing, so I know they are still on the Rogers IMAP server. However, I really want to continue to use my primary account on Thunderbird. I'm not sure if I should delete the primary account and recreate it - the Rogers support tech said that deleting the account may result in an issue where my current password for a re-created primary account may not be recognized, so I'm leaving things as they are until I hear back. It the advice is to not delete and recreate the account, what steps can I take to recover the emails on my primary account in Thunderbird. Have two computer with same email. My Wife's computer password got corrupted and unable to get messages. I deleted TB and deleted any reference to Thunderbird in the registry. Turn off and restarted PC, downloaded new install and run and all the setting from before automatically were in place and still could not get pass the password issue. My computer does not have any password.

My wife's PC, under setting, does not have any saved passwords or a Primary password or even the "Use a Primary Password" checked. If it is checked there is nothing there. It just will not get passed the password issue being always asked when trying to "Get Messages".

How do you get rid of all the infor, setting, password requirements and to be able to restart with a clean Thunderbird install or get passed the password issue? Making my brain hurt.

I have tried many times to add a third email (Gmail account) to my Thunderbird email application. I successfully added both a Comcast and Outlook email account, but Gmail won't install. I'm using Windows 11 on a Surface Pro 8 laptop.

I have several users who are migrating email from Outlook, and they want me to confirm if the Thunderbird export will bring over:

• drafts
• sent mail
• deleted mail
• any subfolders in the mailbox

Hello. My email hosting service, UK2.net, has changed it's servers. I've tried entering the new log in information to retrieve my emails according to the new IMAP details. I can't make the connection work. The mail servers don't seem to be recognised. I've included a screenshot of the connection page. Can anyone help? Paul.

This appears to be an ideal resource for e-mail handling. It’s free, (open source?), private, secure, feature rich, streamlined, and (of course) it’s Mozilla. I would like to utilize this with my website and to eventually roll out the app version to my team. I’m hoping to define rules to automate moving e-mails to specific folders and to automate flagging/painting specific e-mails, notes, tasks, and calendar events. I suppose that it’s always easier to ask for things/stuff, but I hope that all of this makes enough sense to you that you were already working on plans for such a development/project. Perhaps GitHub’s resources could ease the burden. Who knows, perhaps you will add appointment setting and VoIP hosting to your software offerings. (I have been looking for a feasible (freesible), private, and secure way to implement such resources in my website. Also, I sincerely hope that Mozilla will partner with BlackBerry to do more big things.

I utilize Bluehost, Concrete CMS, osTicket, Elkarte, Church CMS, and PrestaShop. I am also playing around with Gibbon and RosarioSIS (and trying to survey) to see what will best suit our tutoring, training, and growing plans for academic development.
