I want to move TB from a win 7 machine on the C: drive to a win10 machine on the E: drive. I downloaded a fresh copy of TB to the win 10 machine and installed it in the D: drive. Completed set up and can send/receive emails. I copy/paste the profiles folders using a usb stick, putting it in the same folder on the D: drive as TB. However, TB doesn't see it. In Troubleshooting help, Environment variables, it clearly shows the roaming folder as C:, while the program is clearly D:. What have I done wrong and how do I correct it please? I decided I needed to use a password to enter my emails. By following my nose, I went to settings and checked the box to use a primary password. It then asked for a password. I typed it in... twice. Once, then confirm. Now, I can't enter my email no matter how many times I type in the password. I've tried resetting the password by going to chrome://pippki/content/resetpassword.xhtml. It says password was reset but nothing has changed, it did not ask me for a new password, and I still can't get in. Frustration has set in. Thank you for any help you can give tome.

I hate the way the new Thunderbird version looks, can't get normal number of emails at once, can't read any of them at the bottom of the page. Please give me my old version back. This was a horrid intrusion with no warning that it wasn't just a normal update

Good morning I have updated Thunderbird to the lastest version 115.6.0 (64-bit) on my Mac with Ventura 13.3.1 (22E261) and now I can not see my mailboxes and folders. Have tried everything - nothing works. Rest bookmarks work. Contacts and other functions. I can create and send letters from any of my mailboxes, I can search letters in all mailboxes in search field, but I can not see on the left bookmark nothing - empty list of mailboxes. I have download the program again, reinstalled, changed Thunderbird file in Programms - same thing. Please help.

How can I delete a second email account folder that duplicates data in 1st folder? Folder names are as follows: prentissr@ example.net prentissR@ example.net

I keep getting this message whoever I send a message to . - please help this is urgent - what do I do Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: <info@buysellcyprus.com>: Relay access denied. Please check the message recipient "" and try again

I have many folders and sub folders and before the new upgrade each sub folder would show the number of new messages. Now only the main sub folder shows and if there are messages only the first level local sub folders show new messages not the second level and third level.

inbox displays the subject and date only of new emails ie NO message is shown nor any activity eg delete, forward etc. Double click on email and it is displayed in a new window

Emails arrive in duplicate, and when deleted they come back again, and again. This is a recent development although I recall having this happen several years ago, but I don't recall attempting to fix the problem, so it must have corrected itself. Assistance would be appreciated to correct this problem.

I have spent the last TWO HOURS trying to find an answer to what should be a simple problem, and it seems not to exist!

I need to find out WHERE Firebird lists my email account PASSWORD.

I do NOT want to reset my password.

I simple need to know WHAT my password is, and since I set up the account [actually a few accounts] several years ago, my notes are evidently null and void, because none of those passwords seem to work.

My email is through verizon.net, which is one of the problems because they gave all of their email coltrol to AOL, which thouroughly sucks, and they seem not to have anyone who speaks fluent English who can assist me in FINDING the current password!

If ANYONE can help, it would be most greatly appreciated!!

Please can you help us, We have used thunderbird for many years. It updates automatically. We are sending email out to all different addresses, they are being received. However if we send an e mail to a G mail account it goes out and shows it gone but it does not reach the the g mail account . This is not just one person. this multiple g amil accounts. Our internet provider claims it is thunderbirds fault. Hope someone can help. John

I find that when I click on links to take me to website through my email in Thunderbird that I will get an error message that reads "we could not verify the certificate, reason=wronghost"

But, if I copy link and copy into browser it works fine. There is a break in the Thunderbird email to the browser. This does not happen with all links but there are about three or four that I get regularly where it fails.

I have talked to a tech guy and we have tried different things and it always comes back to a break in Thunderbird email.

How do I fix this problem?

Hi. Just upgraded to Thunderbird 115.3.2. Where is the 'Mail Toolbar' of previous versions, which used to contain Get Messages, Write, Tab (plus maybe other options). Thanks. MK

I cannot see the Trash folder in one of my imap accounts. I have tried all the tips and suggestions I have been able to find using google searches, but none of them allow me to see the Trash folder.

I can see the Trash folder when I access the account with Firefox. The account runs on Google mail but appears as an account at my university. I also have a straight google mail account and I can see the trash folder in that account--in that account Trash and other folders (e.g., spam,sent) appear as subfolders of [Gmail]. This means I'm able to recover items in the Trash folder only by logging into the account using Firefox.

Any suggestions would be helpful.

I'm getting the following message when trying to delete multiple messages at a time. Sometimes it actually puts them in the trash folder but doesn't remove from Inbox. I've emptied the trash & did a compact folder. Still have problem.

The messages could not be moved or copied to folder 'Trash on cindyr@neo.rr.com' because writing to folder failed. To gain disk space, from the File menu, first choose Empty Trash, and then choose Compact Folders, and then try again.

Hello i wanted to move my emails storage from c/user/user/appdata.... to d/thunderbird/profile.... results a lost all... i have 2 or 3 email accounts i cant attach the new D/ .../rpfile/8dsw...to others 2 email account only to 1 so i decide to get back ( C/ user/.../profile/8dsw... still in pc ) and get no more emails on 3 account and i if i add the profile file (8dsw...) to 1 email account show me all file associated to the account but nothing in inbox... ahhh misery misery ...
