I am sending an email to several people and others as a BCC. If one of those people who receives it as a BCC hits "reply all", will everybody see his reply? Or do BCC recipients even have the option to reply all?

Hi has anyone find a good way sync microsoft office online (outlook.com) calendar in thunderbird? I have been trying to get a working solution with exchangecalendar add-on, but apparently this add-on has been deprecated. https://github.com/ExchangeCalendar/exchangecalendar/releases/tag/v4.0.0

Many people, including myself, use a received email to reply to sender / senders about issues unrelated to the thread. For this reason, I prefer to see all emails displayed individually without reference or linking to previous ones. How do I turn off threading? Thanks

Since font size is controlled in Firefox by CTL +/- why not the same for the main screen in Thunderbird? Eyesight requires larger characters. Simple solution best. Past my time to futz.

Thunderbird 91 opens inbox pdf attachments in a new tab instead of in Adobe Acrobat Reader. Is there a way to revert back to the old behavior where these were opened in Adobe?

Hi, I am new to Thunderbird and not very computer savvy.

I have successfully set up my mail account and am trying to apply filters to incoming mail. The filter is very simple: If the message contains FROM "@mail.zillow.com" send the message to the ZILLOW folder (under that email address).

I have checked the filter log and it says "could not get filter db". I have tried to run the filter manually - no go.

I have tried to read about others who have a similar issue and it talks about debugging. I'm sorry. I do not know how to do this.

This new version, 91.0, now opens PDF files in a new Thunderbird tab. In previous versions, I could open PDF files in Acrobat Reader DC.

I want to still use Acrobat Reader DC to open PDF files. I can't find anything in preferences to direct PDF files to Acrobat Reader DC. When I right-click "open" on a PDF file, it does not give me the option to choose a program to open it with. It opens directly into a new Thunderbird tab.

If I activate Message Storage Clean Up and select "Clean Up ("Expunge") Inbox on Exit" Will it expunge those messages on the HDD, the Server, or both? Also, is it a 100% expunge, or is there control criteria that can be set? I cannot seem to find anything that will answer these questions, and I am VERY Hesitant about losing all of my emails due to misunderstanding the parameters of this service. Thank you for any assistance.

In the last two days all of my messages have been immediately marked as read (i.e., unread messages do not show up in bold). In options I have chosen 'Automatically mark messages as read after displaying for 10 seconds', and in the past this has meant the incoming message showed as bold until I opened and read it, and that the main display indicated how many unread messages I had. I am using Firefox 78.13.0 in Windows 10, but this did not happen after an update: it simply happened overnight. Just now I sent a message from my Gmail account to my Firefox address and have not opened it in Firefox: on my iPad it shows as unread, but on my PC it shows as read, even though I haven't touched it. This problem applies to all three mailboxes in the Firefox account: when I look at the main Firefox display, there is no bold to indicate that any of the mailboxes have new messages.

 This is very annoying in terms of business--I can't immediately see whose messages I have not yet read, and whether any new messages have arrived in a particular mailbox since I last opened Firefox (it is too distracting to keep it open all the time).  Many thanks for any help.

How to change the display fonts and size?

How to change the font and size that you see in the left side that lists all your folders and also the font showing the Subject, Correspondents, Date etc ?

Is there some way I can change the order in which email accounts are presented in the left panel on Thunderbird (91.9.0 (64-bit))? Perhaps a config file within the profile?

I note that in the preferences/settings, you can activate the account with the mouse, but you can't drag/drop to change order (maybe a useful feature to have?).

Is there any way to set the Message Pane (ie the F8 preview panel) as having a white background and the Message window (ie the one you type your messages in) with a dark background?

I have dark model enabled. Until recently, the Message Pane showed all my emails with a white background. Clearly this isn't very "dark" but it was useful because I could clearly read all the messages. When I clicked "reply", the new Message window would show things in dark mode (ie with a dark background). I liked this.

Sure, in some cases that would make it difficult to read the original message (which might show the text as black on a dark grey background) but I could always flick back to the Message Pane if I wanted to see it on a white background.

I recently upgraded to TB 91.3.2. Now both the new Message window and the Message (preview) Pane are showing as white (or, if I customise them using Preferences/Language&Appearance/Colours then they are both dark). Is there a way to customise them independently - eg using userChrome.css?

Is there currently an option in Thunderbird 91.5 to close/minimize to tray.

I found an extension but it is outdated and the answers I found are too.

I am asking for Linux Mint Cinnamon 20.3 but I guess if the option is there, it's there for other OSes.

My employer uses Mozilla Thunderbird for all of its internal emailing purposes. I was sending an email to a group of people and mistakenly sent it to the wrong group. Is it possible for me to cancel, delete or recall that email before they open it? All the recipients are on the same server as myself.

I am going around in circles here. I have searched and all the options I have found appear to be out of date or don't work. All I want to do is increase the size of the fonts I see in the left hand folders list and the folders message lists in the main panel. It's far too small for me and everything I have tried makes no difference. Please guide me.

I want to use a message with recipents as a template, so that I don't have to rewrite or copy the text itself and so that I don't have to add every recipent again. Can I do that somehow? I already figured out, that I can create a template where I can create a draft mail.

There are many questions and a few answers but none provides a real solution. I want to increase ONLY the font size in the message list.

layout.css.devPixelsPerPx increases the size of everything: buttons, fonts, etc. This is not a solution to this problem.

The other solution proposed to add * { font-size: 24px !important; } to the userChrome.css is also not a solution because it increases the font size everywhere.

So how can the font size of the different panes be controlled separately?
