I want to support Mozilla but have no need for the complexity of Thunderbird. I find navigating the huge number of options hugely timewasting, eg I inadvertently remove some headers but can find no way of undoing this. Is there a cut down, simplified version I can use?

Hi Thunderbird Community! This is my first post here.

I use TB 115 (currently it is up 115.10.2)

Whenever I receive an image as an attachment and I click on it and then comes opening abc image window. Since a couple of version back there is an image preview and the action buttons under them. In my case it is just trying to be. And I cannot change the window size, nor can I scroll in it.

Am I doing something wrong? Thanks Greg

Hi, Since 4 days all emails messages ending by ".... @akeonet.com" (SFR company) can't be sent or received via THUNDERBIRD. When opening THUNDERBIRD a password is asked for address email "lalevee.claude@akeonet.com". But the current password doesn't work. I'am getting then a demand to "try again" or "enter a new password" or "cancel" but again without any success. However when trying "Configure your existing address email", I'am getting the message: the email address ("lalevee.claude@akeonet.com") is found in the FAI data base MOZILLA ! Using AKEO webmail, I can find new messages received or can send new ones. Please notice, adresses ending by "...@gmail.com" are not concerned by this problem, and still working !??? Stopping firewalls doesn't solve the issue.

I have been given an email account as a board member of a local non-profit organization. I have tried but cannot get it to work in Thunderbird. It does, however, work on my Apple devices (iPad, iPhone & Watch). I'm missing important correspondence by not being able to get on my desktop. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

How can I have the original mails deleted from original Gmail inbox when deleting them from unified inbox.

I am reading my mails in a unified inbox - and deleted some read and unwanted ones. Now I am looking at my Gmail via my iphone's mail app - and none of those emails have been deleted... How do I get those deletions to sync back to my Gmail account?

Hi there,

I'm having some difficulty getting my email signature for my new job set up correctly.

I want the company logo to appear on the left, with my details to the right of the logo, as seen in the first screenshot.

However, currently, the text appears incorrectly underneath the company logo. I have tried pasting the signature into a blank email, generating the HTML code and pasting that into the signature text box, yet it still displays incorrectly when sending an email.

The HTML for my email signature is as follows:

when i write a new mail i have this kind of letters , by sent or received mail, the letters are different, see my two screenshots. how can i install that the letters in a written mail are the same in each group?

I'm debugging other problems. I go to troubleshoot mode and come back and my fonts changed.

I head into settings to fix this. Attached the view of my change while debugging to make it really big.

This does nothing. Thunderbird doesn't change the font, the size, nothing.

I'm starting to think I'm losing my mind.

Zmiana domyślnego adresu poczty wychodzącej nie jest skuteczna. Pomimo ustawienia innego konta, wysyłka domyślna i tak następuje z konta, które zostało jako pierwsze dodane do programu. Innymi słowy używając klawisza NAPISZ domyślnie w polu nadawcy pojawia się adres, którego nie chcę. W programie ustawiłem inne adres wysyłania, niż ten który się pojawia. Problem wg forum jest znany od przynajmniej roku 2019...

Attached image, how is it possible that Thunderbird allows Bit Defender to install a spam add on and then protects it to so I can't remove the add on ?

This is just mind boggling.

Further, there is a "Why" link which should explain any logic to doing this, note there is not, and it explains nothing of the sort.

I have better things to do than run behind thunderbird to delete an extension which thunderbird has allows to "Can't be removed".

Is thunderbird with us ? or against us ?

I'm moving from win 10 to 11 in new PC. I downloaded Thunderbird. I have hidden files showing in new PC so I found where it should be. When I look for the Thunderbird I downloaded it's not there in roaming...so I can't move my profile into the new computer. I have it on a drive read to install, but it's not showing up.

With the moving of Cox emails to Yahoo would it be feasible for Thunderbird to put an instruction list(with screenshots) of how to get all our TB email accounts from Cox to TB? Do we have to delete all our TB email accounts and re-enter them into TB under the new Yahoo or can we just change the server settings on the existing Cox settings? If just changing server settings what are the settings for the new yahoo? All my accounts are IMAP so if instructions could be made, maybe one for IMAP and one for POP for those who use either. Thank you

I've had Thunderbird running for a few years now without any issue. Last week I upgraded from Ubuntu 22.04 to 24.04 and ever since that I've been having problems on Thunderbird sending email.

I can receive mails fine but if I try to send emails from any account I get "Sending of the message failed"

I've for 2 Outlook.com accounts and one gmail.com account and all give issues.

GMail I'm using: smtp.gmail.com Port 465 SSL/TLS OAuth2

Outlook: smtp-mail.outlook.com Port: 587 StartTLS Auth: Normal Password.

These settings have worked fine before the upgrade so think there is something broken my TB.

I am trying to sign in to my Yahoo email account in Thunderbird. I enter my email address, and my password (double checking it's correct), then I click Continue, then it finds a POP3 configuration for my email address. Then I click Done, and it stays stuck on "Checking Password", until ultimately it tells me "Unable to log in at server. Probably wrong configuration, username, or password."

Aside from this, I would like to store all my emails on the server (using IMAP?) and not on my computer using POP3. So when I go to configure IMAP manually and try to type in the values on this page ( https://help.yahoo.com/kb/SLN4075.html ) (although the fields don't exactly match), I type everything in and the "Done" button is greyed out so I can't even continue.

I found one other topic but they got farther than I did and they got to the Yahoo sign in screen which I did not, and they are using OAuth2 which I don't think I am, but I'm not sure.

Does anyone know how I can fix this and set up my Yahoo account with Thunderbird?

I renamed a folder and now the folder is not showing. As the folders contains few emails and I want to those back, tried restarting the thunderbird many times. Let me know if faced the same before and found a solution for it.

I am currently in the process of integrating the Thunderbird policies and about:config settings into a Nix module for NixOS.

It would be nice to be able to easily correlate Thunderbird versions to the matching documentation version. This could be done by using tags on the documentation repository.

Would it be something the Thunderbird team could be considering to add to their workflow?

I keep getting the message "Sending of password for user kcmsansiro did not succeed. Mail server pop3.iinet.net.au responded: [SYS/TEMP] Account is temporarily unavailable." and "Sending of password for user kcmsansiro did not succeed. Mail server pop3.iinet.net.au responded: Disconnected for inactivity." and "Login to server pop3.iinet.net.au with username kcmsansiro failed" on all 3 accounts (kcmsansiro, phildemaria and philrossi)

I can still receive messages on phildemaria but cant send without getting these messages
