Hello from one of my mails I can`t see the external issues. I gave permission to show all content in the mail, and that was stored in the list permission to show all external content, but still the content is not shown. Can you please help me, and tell me what I can do so I can see all the external issues in the mail.

My mails are automatically corrupted or deleted from system.

Before my mail corrupted i had try to make folders for inbox mails and during this process my some of mails are automatically deleted lr corrupted.

How can i resolve this issue Please guide me

I just enabled cookies in order to fix a connection problem with Google and Xfinity. While going through the process, I noticed a Facebook web address was pre-filled, and I immediately deleted it before realizing "block" and "allow" are both on that same page. Can someone please paste that link here so I can put it back where it was?

Hi, like other users on this help service, I recently lost the ability to send smtp gmails on one specific gmail account, but receiving emails was OK. Every attempt to send brought a "send failed - enter new password" dialog box. I looked at a great number of "solutions" before I found one which almost worked, but I have modified/clarified it and post it here for others to try. First off, look at passwords in Settings, and check that you have an 0Auth2 password - very long and not anything you chose. Then go to Server settings, scroll down the left hand pane past all the accounts listed until you find "Outgoing Server (SMTP) and click on it. This lists your outgoing SMTP accounts. Highlight the one for the account which is not sending and click on "Edit" Change the authentication method to 0Auth2. OK your way back. Now go back to your displayed passwords and copy the 0Auth2 password from the incoming password box and paste it in the SMTP password box for the problem account. Now close TB and restart. When I did all this, it began to send emails again. Hope it helps someone else.

I keep getting the message "Sending of password for user kcmsansiro did not succeed. Mail server pop3.iinet.net.au responded: [SYS/TEMP] Account is temporarily unavailable." and "Sending of password for user kcmsansiro did not succeed. Mail server pop3.iinet.net.au responded: Disconnected for inactivity." and "Login to server pop3.iinet.net.au with username kcmsansiro failed" on all 3 accounts (kcmsansiro, phildemaria and philrossi)

I can still receive messages on phildemaria but cant send without getting these messages

I lookked to see what email accounts I have in ssaved passwords and there is none listed. I donated to Thunderbird but I am not sure I can contine with the program because everytime I open TB it asks for passwords for both accounts.

Just moved to TB after 20 years on Mac Mail. Loving it so far, for the most part.

One thing I REALLY do not like is the 'browser behaviour' of Thunderbird. I do not want a second browser on my machine to worry about securing and preventing privacy leaks etc. I have a browser, it's carefully set up, and it's the only i want on my system.

So is there a way to stop TB behaving like a browser? I see questions about 3rd party cookies, they were turned on, and I'm glad I spotted that (could easily have missed it). Can I just turn off all firefox like behaviour? what about "Chat"? I have no use for that.

PS - If anyone knows of a way to export my Mac Calendar data to TB, I might try the Calendar function out :)

I sent an email with multiple BCCs and no CCs or TOs, I put myself as one of the BCCs.

I did not receive it and I do not think anybody else did as well since I asked a few people.

The email is in the sent folder. I tried forwarding the email from my sent folder to myself as CC, and that worked. I also tried fowarding as BCC, and that worked.

So what is going on? Is BCC working? How can I know for certain? Do I need to foward the email as BCCs to all my BCCs to get this to work?

I am getting about 50 phishing e-mails a day. They are as obvious as can be, but becoming a pain in the ass to mark as junk. None of the sending e-mail addresses are real and they all wind up with DKIM=fail. I am not finding a solution I am happy with, having considered 1. a Thunderbird add-in that checks DKIM - it has mixed reviews, and I have some clients whose e-mail systems do not respond to DKIM verification 2. SpamAssassin - not quite sure what this does, and I really do not to add another layer 3. I have enabled - in Thunderbird's Account setting and elsewhere - junk filtering, but it shows no signs of being successfully trained despite having manually marked hundreds of phishing e-mails as Junk. 4. I do not see how to create a filter to catch these (I am assuming looking for DKIM=fail in "body" would fail as "body" refers to rendered e-mail contents, not the raw format.

On my Win 7 box, Thunderbird seems to be having access issues with my profiles. It can only find my profiles when running in administrator mode. I've tried resetting security info on several files, but have not found the right one. How can I find the culprit?

i have a mailserver with a catch all function and give out only customized mail adresses. Think "paypal@domain.com".

That way i know exactly who "lost" my mail address to a spammer.

However when i want to reply, the sending mail address defaults to the one i am logged into.

Is there any possibility to configure Thunderbird, that the sending mail for the reply is equal to the receiving one i am replying to?

TB was working fine, but now I can no longer send email. I get a popup window with this:

Unable to connect

An error occurred during a connection to localhost.

   The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
   If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network connection.
   If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Thunderbird is permitted to access the web.

The service (Comcast) is up & working. I've double-checked the password. I've tried disabling my firewall.

How do I figure out what is now causing the problem?

Gmail authentication fails unless I use debug mode, even when I've cleaned out addons etc.

Gmail then asks for permissions via Thunderbird menu and (sometimes) via 2F text to phone. I always grant these but authentication will always fail unless I start in debug mode.

Note: this is IMAP access.

Also, I read that master password is broken. Is this a related bug?

Hi I have some problem with my emails, they are disappeared from sent item ( not sent messages). I didnt do anything with that by myself, and now i've two days old, All sent emails from 2021- until today just deleted now?

Have been using TB a very long time. 115.8.1 broke some handshake issue with gmail. Google, as door keeper, asks me it Google should let them in. The automatic handshake needs a fix. Started day after install.

Login to server imap.gmail.com with username ceciljohn6@gmail.com failed. The choices are "retry", "enter new password" or "cancel". What do I do?

We using Thunderbird with S/MIME in order to sign email and an LDAP directory access. When we do a reply all, Thunderbird try to download recipients certificates.

It's very long and useless for us ;) (it takes more than 1 minute to the popup to disappear, or we have to click on stop searching multiple times, one for recipient)

Is there anyway to deactivate this feature ? The only way is to disable LDAP, but we need LDAP.
