I have installed the latest version of Bluebird. All address books are there. Calendar events did not migrate, but the Calendar is there. Everything seems normal, however I cannot get mail messages from gmail, and when I try to Send an email generated in Bluebird, I get an authentication error [no valid certificate], and I cannot create an exception. Less often, I am asked for my gmail password, which is not recognized when I type it in.

If anyone has had to deal with this, and found a solution, I sure would love to fix this. I have been using Bluebird for 25 years. I hate the idea that I might have to give it up. My eMail address is: ejcclare@gmail.com.

The user interface is really confusing. There is a X right on top which closes Thunderbird. In the statusbanner every mail occurs with the title and an X to remove it from the banner.

Until that point no problem.

But I keep my archive on my NAS server as .eml files. When I open one of them they do't appear in the opened Thunderbird, but in e new window with the X for closing ricght in the top..

So when I am reading my new e-mails and want to open an old one it is in a new window with the close X right on top. Moving around between new and archived mails is confusing. The new mails mus be closed on the banner and the archived mails right on the top. Which means that during working like that I close Thunderbird itself many times, have to restart the profile again etc. Not very speed improving.

I see two options: First: open arhived e-mail not as an extra window but within the mail screen second: make it possible to point to a local map within "local maps", or make it possible to archive in local maps outside Thinderbird, hence in any local map on my computer (or NAS server) Then the user interface with a banner for opened e-mails is similar for archived mail and new ones.

Am in the UK. I am able to receive e-mails, but not able to send e-mails. All was well until relatively recently. The following message appears: Sending of the message failed. Unable to authenticate to Outgoing server (SMTP) mail.uwclub.net. Please check the password and verify the 'Authentication method' in 'Account Settings | Outgoing server (SMTP)'.

I gave gone through all suggestions I can find online, (including the "Cannot send messages" support page here) but still no success.

I can still send e-mails from my account using the mail provider webmail facility (but not through Thunderbird.

Inbox messages from the month of February inclusive and back disappeared, but just the ones from the "Local Folders" folder, because I have another account and those are intact?

Hello, I exported all my Thunderbird data, including adressbooks in an export file called: Thunderbird_profile_backup...then I uninstalled Thunderbird, because changes needed to made in the incoming and ourgoing mail settings. I downloaded Thunderbird again and installed it, entered the new settings and all my emails came back in. But I still need to import my address book which I did not save in a csv. file. It is in Thunderbird_profile_backup... I sse files in there like this filename: abook.sqlite.... Do you know how I can import my addressbooks from Thunderbird_profile_backup.? with many thanks

I recently migrated to a new PC and I'm trying to figure out how i got this behavior to work on my old one.

I have most of my main email folder structure as folders and subfolders in the "My Email. This is representative of my main email (lets say jeremy@jeremy.com for this example)

Now that I've moved over to the new computer and imported my settings, instead of the jeremy@jeremy.com email going to the My Email folder, it goes to a jeremy@jeremy.com folder.

There is no jeremy@jeremy.com folder showing on my old computer.

Is there a way to do this short of adding a filter to move messages as they come in?

Shows 0 bytes for the size of the folder. No messages in deleted. I tried updating to this week's latest version with no change. I am guessing that everything is lost with no return. Currently at 115.8.1 (64-bit). Time to move to a new email client?

Whenever I add an emoji from the list to a message, it does not appear where my cursor is, it appears in the Subject line. It wasn't always like this, but I don't remember which update brought it on. Is there a fix for it? Usually subsequent emojis go where I tell them to, but the first one never does.

I know that in the great scheme of things, this is a pretty trivial problem, but it's a little irritation every time I add an emoji to a message. Anyone else have this happen? Or have a solution? Thanks!

Under X11, clicking a link in an email switches to the web browser and opens the link. If I change the session to Wayland, the link is passed to the browser, but the browser is not brought to the front.

I checked everything is this document: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/hyperlinks-in-messages-not-working but the problem persists.

how do i get the new contact file to stay open on one monitor, while I see the material from an email on the monitor? this is not in the form of a cvt card..etc. just need to keep two monitors open tb 115+

I have Thunderbird configured to save draft emails in encrypted form. Today, I wanted to send someone one of my draft emails so I right clicked it and selected "Forward As" > "Attachment", however the person reported they couldn't read the email.

I've forwarded the email to myself and could reproduce that Thunderbird only shows an empty body and a crossed out lock at the "OpenPGP" button with the message "Message Cannot Be Decrypted".

For two months I lose all the contents of my in basket when I close the software. It's easy to open in troubleshoot mode and thus get it back, but no one has been able to tell me why it happens in the first place and why I have to use troubleshoot mode all the time.

For the last few days, I am receiving only about 80% of the emails sent to me on my Thunderbird email. I receive the other emails on my ISP Squirrelmail web portal.

I have not set up any message filters on my Thunderbird email.

Good Morning, when I click on the inbox folder or any of the sub folders, no emails show up. I can click on the get messages button and it will show that new messages are downloading

Recently when I click on GetMessages for my gmail account, in addition to any genuine incoming I will received copies of my outgoing. I believe it is a user error, but I don't know what control I have misconfigured that would cause that result. It is only happening for my gmail account, not for three other email server/services that I use on a daily basis.

I have a number of category folders under 'Archives' and then sub category folders under some of those. One is for archiving emails from my energy supplier. They were recently taken over by another company, so I changed the name of the sub folder to reflect that. All seemed OK until I had to restart the computer as a result of a Windows update. Now that renamed folder has completely disappeared. I can do a search in Archives for a known email from them, and it is found, but the location just shows as the new name of the sub folder - no clue as to where that sub folder is now hiding ...

Any thoughts how to find it and put it back where it belongs, anyone ?

Typically, when you're writing a draft and try to close the draft window it will ask if you want to save it first. However, when one of my applications sends data to Thunderbird with prefilled TO, SUBJECT, and MESSAGE fields (and I make no edits to the draft window) it no longer (as of 115 release) prompts me to save the draft when closing the window. If I revise this draft in any way (adding a space to the end of the subject field) it will prompt me when closing.

My workflow consists of saving drafts without any edits needed to the compose window. This used to work fine prior to the 115 release, but now I need to add the space to each draft or hit save and wait 3-5 seconds (to communicate with the server) before I can close the window. Small inconvenience, but is this really the desired action? (imagine someone closes a draft window with data in it, thinking the draft is already saved, and it's simply gone)
