I recently purchased a new laptop and needed to migrate my old Thunderbird profiles. This is what I did: 1. Backed up profiles from old laptop 2. downloaded and installed latest version of Thunderbird on new laptop 3. coped profiles into \roaming directory 4. tested and successfully received emails and viewed all old emails.

The problem is that the Mail toolbar is nowhere to be found. Also, the calendar is missing. I tried right clicking on empty space and it only showed "menu bar" as an option. Attachment shows nothing in the toolbars option of View dropdown.

As often asked before, I want to open files directly in readwrite mode. Is there a way to enable this? ( Toggling browser.helperApps.deleteTempFileOnExit did not help me.) Is there a way to determine the directory of the temporary files, so we know it is not an Windoze issue?

This seems to be an issue on Windows and Mac, not sure if on Linux* too. Please don't bother with workarounds, I don't want to save it first. That's way to much unnecessary interaction.

The SuperNova UI is awful. Its font density settings are all trash.

I rolled back because it's so bad. And how cool was it that the UI was updated without warning me that "installing the latest version" would overhaul UI settings and design without asking if I want that? So cool, so thoughtful, like a dog dumping on the kitchen floor.

Is there any option in it yet to allow users to keep the old UI?

Hello, I want to customise the From address so it prioritises another address than the one it presently chooses. I tried the Customise button underneath, but after highlighting my chosen address, nothing happens. I switched TB off in case it needed to update its setting, but no luck. Does anyone know? (The easier and simpler the better please). Many thanks. PS. I use a Macbook Air Sonoma version, TB v 115.8.0

I added another e-mail account to "Thunderbird 115.6.1" but its not being displayed in the column on the left, how can I get both accounts to show up? It does show up in the account settings. Hi Not sure if this is the right place to ask. I am using Thunderbird for my email program I have it pinned to the taskbar at the bottom of my computer screen. I was wondering if there is a way that when I have the mail screen open and I open another screen like Settings, or Account Settings, if they can be shown separately on the task bar, and not combing so only the tab I have open is showing. That way I can flip between each one a lot easier than clicking on the one showing and then having to select the next tab in the actual program itself. Thanks Marc

I can not change my font size. I will restart my donation when you fix it, or I will move on; I cannot use it as is. I'm using Google instead which I do not like ...

I really can't get my head around fonts in Thunderbird.

1. Can I use Verdana? It's not shown in any lists 2. No idea which options do what, when I click on "Advanced" I have no clue what all the fields mean 3. I tried my best, read this page - https://kb.mozillazine.org/Font_settings_in_Thunderbird - but what is it talking about? "Tools>Options"... that doesn't exist in my Thunderbird!

Grateful if someone could explain how it works. Specifically, I'd like to know (as the article above purports to explain) how to adjust fonts used when reading incoming mail, html and plaintext separately as I'd like to have those fonts noticeably different.

i need to get the font inside the messages bigger I went to advanced and set a min size font and and max size it changed everything on Thunderbird but not the messages windows 11 Thunderbird 115 any help would be appricated TIA

Beginner or Luddite Question - I am seeking something like outlook, but NOT OUTLOOK. I lost so many contacts, connections, data and usability from that POS. Let's be clear. I am seeking something that will support the following: -having multiple email addresses for multiple businesses and organizations all in one place. - the ability to have individual signature boxes for each email address supported (as many as 12) - Something that won't crash on me and F*** up everything -I don't care if I have to pay, I want everything in one place easy to utilize. - I want a third-party VA to be able to get in under a common sign in and work under my name

Can Thunderbird do all this and more without having to hire a $500 per hour techie? If someone is for hire, how much is the charge?

I am trying to get a constant font size on all screens ; have gone into settings and account settings; the problem I am finding is that there are various paths that tend to be confusing for trying to have a constant one style or "font" for all screens ; have tried day after day to achieve, and there has to be something I am not doing; is providing a telephone or email for someone to help me?

In quick filter toolbar I am missing to search by from, to , subject, body as it was in TB112. Without using addons, such as Expression Search this would be a major flaw of the new TB115 in the usability.
