Newest Thunderbird version doesn't work with my internet provider

In August I stopped being able to send out emails through Thunderbird, but I still was getting incoming mail. My family are all computer nerds but they couldn't figure it out. I talked to the Spectrum Help and they figured out what changes to make in the Thunderbird settings for port numbers to make the new version work, but there was one last change they couldn't manage. They figured out that there needs to be a place in the Thunderbird settings to put in my Spectrum password, for incoming mail. There is one for outgoing mail (the choices were to put in the password or to click on "not necessary", and I used "not necessary") but there is no choice for incoming mail. With the changes they made, I can no longer get incoming or outgoing mail, so I have had to use the Spectrum website to manage the email and it is absolutely horrible, limited, disorganized and very, very slow. I desperately need to fix this. I need to talk to someone in real time, but I can't find a phone number on your website. Why is there no resolution to the problem so many of us are experiencing? Thunderbird just QUIT downloading email. I lost 20 folders full of data from older emails that I can never recoup. And Thunderbird still won't work. We all need answers NOW!!!!!! Really funny that there is a link at the bottom to email me when there is an answer!!!!

I am using version 115.3.3 just today I started having problems. My default Windows virus checker did not identify any issues and I ran malware bytes and it showed zero problems. the problem seemed to start at the point when I forwarded a 5mb file to a few friends. Since then, I have been unable to send anything. The system continues to crash. Most of the time I cannot see any information in pull down lists. I have tried rolling back to a week old restore point and it continues to have the probem. I have tried updating to 115.4.1 and it still has the problem. I have removed all of the automatic installed updates from the last two days and still have the problem..... HELP!

I am not sure I will see emails back from this help request, but I sure hope so:)

I am in the process and think I have completed the process to open up the new Thunderbird access for my e mail. In the previous version I could close my e mail when I had finished writing and or reading/deleting e mails. In this current version I do not seem to see where I can close my e mail when I have finished. Any suggestions?

I have 3 email accounts linked with Thunderbird on my computer that I have had linked for many years. 2 are different names @ 1 address and the 3rd is a different address. All email addresses are with the same company - JustHost.

The 3rd works fine - can send and receive.

The first 2 can send but not receive.

Any ideas why 2 are not working but the 3rd is?

I select multiple files in File Explorer and select, right click, Send To, Thunderbird, but only one of the files actually appears in the Thunderbird email. It appears that which one shows up as an attachment to the email is quite random. This used to work fine with all the selected files showing in the email, I haven't upgraded anything so far as I know, and I don't think I have changed anything at all. Any ideas most welcome. Incidentally, if I select only one file to send then it works fine; if I select multiple files to send through Outlook, then that works fine. I just cannot send multiple files through Thunderbird. I am using Thunderbird version 115.4.1 (64 bit). I have looked at the issue on Microsoft pages and they are of the opinion that this is a Thunderbird issue, not a Windows one. SHORT VERSION: Is it possible to make hunderbird show me, in the main window, that there is a tagged email ALSO inside a subfolder? EXPLANATION I am trying to be tidy and organised in my work emails with Thunderbird ;) Therefore I BOTH divide emails in subfolders AND flag the emails I have to postprocess but I don't have time right when I receive them. BUT I STILL HAVE TO POSTPROCESS THEM!!! However, if a flagged email is in a subfolder, Thunderbird doesn't show me that is flagged. In other words, if I want to see if there are unprocessed emails, I would have to enter each subfolder (which I don't do - so I don't postprocess the email! (angel) )

I can not send an e-mail. when I type in my message and try to send I receive a box on the screen that reads sending message in progress with a blue line that's moving from left to right but the message does not go out. after a short time that message will go away and I get a message that reads sending of the message failed. I don't know what to do to fix the problem. I have worked with my provider but they don't know what the problem is Hope someone there can corret this. thank you
