I'm getting duplicates of calendar items using the Provider for Google Calendar whenever I enter an event in Thunderbird. This doesn't happen when the events are posted elsewhere, on a Google Calendar. When I'm about to enter a new event, I can see a line labeled "Calendar" that gives me 3 choices ... 2 of them are the same, like xxxxx@gmail.com and the other is GMAIL. I have 2 gmail accounts sharing on three devices ... my laptop, my phone and my wife's iPad. Once I've finished and closed the event, I wait a bit and I get the duplicated item beside it. When I right-click on an event that I've put into Thunderbird, I see a line that says "Organizer:" with my gmail address. I don't see anything like that when clicking on a duplicate that has popped up. There is also a Related Link ... https://calendar.google.com/calendar/u/0/event?eid=X2M5ajYyZTluNnRpajBiOWo2OWg2YWI5a2NkaGphYmIyYzhzNjRiOW02cGozaW9wcGNkaW04b2hnY2tfMjAyNDAxMTFUMTgzMDAwWiBnaGNoYXJ0ZXJzQG0 ... but it comes up as "requested URL not found on this server". Hello, Thunderbird just auto-upgraded to 102.3.1. And now, one of my three Google Calendars are 'missing': Holidays in US and Medical are OK, but ToDo isn't showing. I tried to unsubscribe ToDo and re-subscribe and it was back... until I changed to November and it was gone again. Changed back to October and it's gone from all months again. I read a few articles from months ago and thought perhaps the issue had been fixed for release, apparently NOT. Good thing I can still see all of my calendars on my phone... Just tried unsubscribe from all three calendars and added Medical and ToDo back - OK... until I change months again and ToDo disappears from all months. Just unsubscribed from all Google calendars (including the email address calendar) and subscribed to ONLY ToDo... back until changed months again. Don't really want to set up my whole gmail account again, but if that's what it take to get all my calendar back I'm willing to do it... I'd hate to lose Thunderbird as my email client, but this is a real 'deal breaker'. Perhaps it's the name "ToDo" that's the problem??? I guess I'll try changing that to see if it's the problem...

Since upgrading to v102 I've lost events in my calendar and am progressively losing historic data that I wanted to keep (events that were there last week aren't there this week). I've tried copying a backup of local.sqlite and checked the entries in prefs.js to no avail. If I can't fix then I'm going to have to dump Firefox and Thunderbird.

I have added my own categories in the Thunderbird Calendar New Event window, but I am unable to edit or delete either default or added categories in the list. How do I edit this list? NOTE: this is different than mail categories.

I'm moving away from proprietary platforms and am setting up Thunderbird to manage my calendars. My calendars are hosted on a Synology and synced via caldav.

Sync seems OK, but interface-wise, I cannot find a way to have my events showing their location, directly from the calendar view (even daily).Clicking on the event, the location shows, but I really need to see them directly from the day or week view (I'm a teacher, so at a glance, I need to know in which class my next lesson is).

Is there a way to set this up, or a feature to be requested?

I've used the Thunderbird calendar for appointments for years and today had my first issue when I tried to set an end date for a recurring appointment. Once I edited the appointment (all occurrences) all appointments in my calendar were covered by a colored grid and were unreadable. Fortunately I had backed up the calendar a couple of days ago so I was able to restore the calendar by restoring the calendar data file from my backup. I attempted to set an end date for the appointment again but the calendar became corrupted once again. I am attaching a screenshot of what the calendar looked like after trying to set an end date for an appointment. I assume this is a recently introduced bug in the program, if not is there another workaround besides retrieving a backup for the calendar data file?

Hello this morning Thunderbird Updated in Germany to Vers. 102. At vers. 102. Calender shows no categories in Google Calender or Web.de Calender.

I have followed all of the instructions by Toad-Hall (as far as I know ) for making categories in my calendar different colors (instead of the small bar at the right).

I have made sure that the legacy is not false I have opened Profile, added folder called chrome, copied the text given into folder called userChrome.css (this was saved as txt, which I changed to css).

I then started Thunderbird and still find that I cannot get full color in my events.

What have I done incorrectly? (I am on a Mac running Big Sur). Thunderbird version is 91.12.0

I am using Thunderbird Supernova and am pretty happy with it. However, I cannot figure out how to specify a different time zone than the system timezone when creating an event. For example, if I just bought a flight that departs at 4PM London time and I am in Miami when creating the event, how can I create this event without having to convert that time to my current time?

Surely this is possible but I can't figure out how. Thanks for any help!

When adding a future date event from the Lightning calendar Today Pane (with mini-calendar displayed), I click on the date when I want to add the event, then click the New Event link below the calendar. This brings up the New Event dialog, but the dates in the Start and End fields default to today's date, not to the future date I selected in the Today Pane, so I have to re-select the desired date in those fields. In older Lightning versions, those preselected dates used to default to the date I selected in the Today Pane, which is obviously when I want to add the event. Is there any way I can get this old behavior back in the current version (102.2.2)? If not, I'd like to request that this behavior be added, or at least have the option to be added, in a future release. Thank you for listening.

Since upgrading to Thunderbird v102 on my Mac I've lost events from my Lightning Calendar. I seem to have lost all my bi-weekly or monthly repetitive events (my one-off or annual repetitive events seem to be in tact).

I've tried closing the calendar and restarting Thunderbird but all to no avail. I was wondering whether I might restore my Lightning Calendar from my Time Machine backup (before I updated to v102) and, if so, what files I might need to replace.

can i shut it off this way I do not gnat encryption and i am using Norton a d i also use ccleaner and glary does this have anything to do with it

For some reason, I don't see the calendar subscriptions in the Calendar view. I restarted the app, and I'm at the latest version. I did install an add-on that made things a bit wonky (a markdown plugin, but I'm not sure if that's when the calendar subscriptions disappeared). I uninstalled it. I noticed the problem after I had uninstalled the add-on.

Does this problem seem familiar to anyone? If so, how did you fix it?

After adding my nextcloud calendar via CalDAV in Thunderbird 115 (no plugin) I can perfecly add or remove events to the calendar and they get synced well, however, if I receive a notification the button to dismiss them does not do a thing. Firat I thought this is related to Birthday reminders, but it is also true for events I have added to the standard calendar via Thunderbird.

Sorry if this is a double post, but I only found similar issues with older versions of Thunderbird and a plugin for the calendar.

I am able to accept invitations from new appointments ("This message contains an appointment invitation", with the regular action buttons).

But if it comes to appointment update messages, I have no action buttons. Only the message "Diese Nachricht enthält eine Termineinladung".

I've already tried with troubleshooting mode (without addons etc. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-mode-thunderbird#w_starting-thunderbird-in-troubleshoot-mode), this makes no difference, the issue persists.

TB Version is: 115.1.0 (68-Bit on Windows 11)

I remember being able to search all calendar entries for word(s) in an event title. Is that still possible? If so, how? I can't find it under tools or the 'Search' function. TIA

I'm heavily using calendar-events with status (CONFIRMED/DECLINED/...) but in my current knowledge i have to go a long (click-)way changing that status: Click on Event->Click on Edit->Click on Settings/Status->Select Status.

Is there a faster (less clicks) way to do it?
