Sent messages contain visible codes within for receipients

Sometime in the past month, Thunderbird (current 115.9.0) started adding =20 to the body of my messages. Not visible to me, but to a large number of recipients. It appears to be a soft return or word wrap causing the issue, but I've not made any changes to my settings.

If a recipient replies to me inline, I can then see the codes within the original message I sent

Looking through support posts, I did just try changing the wordwrap to 0, but that made no difference.

Seems like a coding problem, but since the Unicode/Western options no longer exist, not sure how that would happen, or what change caused this.

Any assistance much appreciated.

Duplicate windows launching with tabs use after using Developer Toolbox

When I open a tab (address book, settings, account settings), click back to the message area, then click to the address book / other tab again, as soon as I move my mouse Thunderbird launches a new window that has the messages and other tab, minus the toolbar buttons, leaving behind the original window with the messages and toolbar buttons.

If I click back and forth between them the extra windows pile up. Sometimes it opens two extra windows with one switch and a mouse move.

Being a new upgrade to Supernova, I hadn't opened my address book prior to looking at it for style changes, so I don't know if it was doing this before I tried to style it, however, it did not do that with the other tabs (settings, account settings) before I was in Developer Toolbox. I've since removed my style file and the problem persists.

Is this something I did in DevTools or a strange bug?

Any ideas what's up and how I can fix this?

Mac OS 12.6, TB 115.9.0

After a windows update, a new TB opened and I had to give new info-mail, etc. When TB opened I was able to get e-mail but all my different saved folders were not there (ex. utilities, insurance, health, etc.). Dear Thunderbird Support,

I installed Thunderbird and added my xfinity email account. All worked fine for half a day, then it stopped connecting while downloading a folder of files and hasn't reconnected since. The "extra" pop up window where the first time I logged into Xfinity and then used the Xfinity App for 2FA and it worked fine, now opens a window and starts with a long URL, then after approx 10 sec replaces that long url with a localhost one and the page says "Unable to connect, An error occurred during a connection to localhost."

Can't seem to get past this now. Restarted the program then restarted my Windows 10 PC, same unfortunate result. I'm afraid to remove the account because it wasn't through synchronizing one or more folders.

Hi, I got problem with fonts in Thunderbird. I set all fonts to: Roboto and system font to Roboto Light but every new email have bold topic and part of email content. After marking it "as read" topic changes to regular but part of email content is still bold. Tryed to reinstal TB, does not help. I`m using Manjaro Linux and Thunderbird 115.9.0 How to change this ?

Thunderbird's Calendar displays time for events from Google's calendar (probably other network calendars too) incorrectly. For example, i create an event with "New Event", select "Calendar: <my gmail account>" and set "Start: 15:00", "End: 16:00", then "Save and Close". Thunderbird Calendar displays it as from 16:00 to 17:00. "Use system timezone" is selected in Calendar settings. When i open "Edit" dialog for the event, time in "Start:" and "End:" fields is also incorrect (16:00 and 17:00 respectively). However, when i go to "Options" and click "Show Timezones" it becomes correct (15:00 and 16:00). Disabling "Show Timezones" leads back to incorrect time. Web page and other applications display time for the same event correctly (as i set it during creation). The same error for events created not by Thunderbird but on web page or other applications. Thunderbird 115.9.0.

The message pane will start randomly flashing Once this starts, its almost impossible to perform any other action in TB ( other apps OK)

I have completely uninstalled TB and cleared out the Thunderbird section in %AppData% before re-installing TB again Will seem OK to start with after re-install, but the problem soon comes back

Anyone seen similar ?

Beginning at 3:30 pm (PST) this afternoon the laptop would show this error message after user pressed send:

"Must issue a STARTTLS command first"

Laptop receives mail fine. User can send and receive mail on her iPhone.

ISP verified that the Server Names and settings for incoming and outgoing mail are correct.

Having finally got fed up with all the adds in Outlook.com, I've now started using Thunderbird as my email client! (I know, what took me so long?!) I've set up my email ok and it all seems to be working fine and syncing with my Outlook.com account, but I have some queries regarding the Calendar. I've managed to add my Outlook.com calendar to Thunderbird, but; 1 - How do I sync my Thunderbird calendar with my Outlook.com calendar?

    At the moment any changes/additions I make aren't synced.

2 - Also, someone shares their calendar (Outlook.com) with me.

     How do I add and sync this to my Thunderbird calendar.

Although I love my tech etc, I'm only good with what I know, so please explain any solutions as clearly and simply as you can, sorry! Regards Mark

I have two accounts one in gmail and one in outlook. My gmail account sinks fine but does not erase the email after the sinc and my outlook account will not even write to my inbox the error message reads "Unable to write email to the inbox. Make sure that the file system allows you write privileges and you have enough disc space to copy the mailbox. and it also will not delete the emails after sending them to my thunderbird inbox. in fact it wont send them to my tb inbox.

can you assist ?

For some time now, I have seen my iCloud email IMAP folders unsubscribed when I restart Thunderbird. At first, with an earlier, but recent, build of Thunderbird, the subscriptions would not be renewed if I did not quit Thunderbird before I restarted my Mac. Recently (like a couple of days ago), I quit Thunderbird, then restarted my Mac to update the OS to latest patch level. When I launched Tbird, I had to resuscribe to all of my iCloud IMAP folders. After that was done, I quit Tbird and then restarted it. I then had to resubscribe to my iCloud IMAP folders. I have a lot of them, so this is a time-consuming tedious process.

Yesterday, I quit Thunderbird and began using Apple Male client (which I detest due to their "smartfolders"). A bit ago, I launched Thunderbird and it resubscribed to a few of my iCloud IMAP folders. I opened the Subscribe tool and rechecked a bunch of the unchecked folder boxes. It looks like it is trying to subscribe (i.e., I can see the status messages in the field at the bottom of my Tbird window that say the subscriptions are in process), but it is taking a very long time and they are not displaying in the left-hand folder pane.

So, I've seen others reporting problems with IMAP and iCloud mail, but not this exact problem. Is this Apple trying to force folks to stop using IMAP? Does Tbird need to have its IMAP code updated/debugged? I really really want to keep using Tbird.

What sort of diagnostics should I run?

I moved a folder to a different folder as a subfolder and the same files reappeared in the Trash again. These will not delete from the Trash. Thanks for your help.
