We are running Thunderbird 115 and encountering an annoying issue. Somehow 'threading' keeps getting activated randomly. It is not being manually activated since the 'View' setting is not even normally displayed. We have to keep looking for the setting to turn it off as it is a feature that we do not like to use.

When I am on a web site most of the time there is a link used to send an email to their company. How do I configure Thunderbird to be the default email client to write and send my message? Right now Windows Live Mail is the default

Hello, as soon as TB Thunderbird was auto updated to the new version 115.4.1 (64-bit) 2 weeks ago, it keeps freezing randomly but often for several seconds when you click inbox folders from Any Emails I have: Private, Outlook, Yahoo, or Google.

It does also freeze randomly while I write emails or I check other folders. It take so much longer to deal with emails all together.

It tends to do it if the program has been opened recently but also in the midle of the day or while writing emails, for no reasons.

The previous version was also slower but was at least manageable.

What is going on? Any hints or different solutions are appreciated. Best Regards, Chris

Since updating to 115.4.1 under Windows 11 (fully updated), Thunderbird regularly (about every 24-48 hours) freezes up and needs to be shut down with Task Manager. What's up??

Used Thunderbird for years. No issues. Following upgrade to current version:

1. Usually opens multiple email tabs 2. Most current email is not visible. Drops below bottom line. Must scroll to see it. 3. If you delete the highlighted email, the next email is highlighted so light you can barely see it. 4. Often jumps to othe emails.

Older version was rock solid. Not sure if these are "features" or problems.

I hope you didn't intend it, but what on earth have you done in the most recent Thunderbird "update"? Almost every day I delete an email from my inbox by right-clicking and selecting delete from the drop-down. Maybe the chain is complete, quite often it's something suspicious that has slipped by the spam filters and I simply do not want to open it, sometimes it's a delivery company telling me that my parcel has arrived, which I already know. It is always a simple operation and I carry on with my activities. Now however, when I do this, the inbox resets to the very beginning, to the first email that I did not delete, back in 2010 when I first became a user, and I have to scroll through 13 years to get back to today.

Since the new update, when I delete a message, the message "window" scrolls and I have to scroll back to where I was. This is very annoying and wastes time. I hope my description makes sense.

We are running Thunderbird 115 and encountering an annoying issue. We run two separate mailboxes and always sort by date with most recent at the bottom. It seems that whenever we switch from one mailbox to the other, the focus seems to jump to somewhere in the middle of the message library, rather than the 'bottom'/newest message. We scroll to the bottom, and then switch back again to the other mailbox and find our focus again somewhere in the middle...

I'm missing the the possibility to delete Messages on one of my clients and leave it on the server. I'm using Thunderbird on my desktop, mostly to save my important emails. Therefore I have installed some filters to delete unimportant mails like newsletter, noreplay@... e.g... Unfortunately I'm not able to read these mails even more on my other client like my mobile. In an older version of Thunderbird was a checkbox for "leave it on the server".. in the latest version this box is gone. Who can help me?

Thunderbird displays messages as a long list. It never did that before an update, and now I can not find out how to turn that nonsense off! I don't want to see every message from some person tabbed across the screen when I search for their name. I want to just pick one message, often a recent message.

How do I search for a message from a random person and only get one message I choose to view?

I use Thunderbird with my gmail account. When I run Thunderbird on my computer, I don't load any emails (I do get emails on my iPhone). I get this error message: "Authentication failure while connecting to server imap.gmail.com." What does this mean and what should I do?

For the past few months Thunderbird has had some of my Folders I want deleted not deleting, just a faint trace of them still there, very annoying. Now it is randomly deleting Folders I want to keep and now cannot access any of the emails that were in the folders. Please help as this is VERY annoying

I would like to change the font size of the entries in my Messages pane. Changing it with View>Font Size changes everything, and this uses way too much space in the Folder and Message Detail panes. If you compare the defaults prior to the latest update to what 115.4.1 has you will see what I mean. Tried to find something in ConfigEditor but didn't see anything. Thanks

I see a lot of questions about the missing tag and write buttons, but I don't see any answers. I have the same questions. Where did they go? How to get them back. How do I "reply" to an email. I wish I had not updated. It definitely did not get better.

After loading the latest update, I can't send emails. Spamhaus is blocking them. this is an example of the error message... this is a business I have emailed before and they are in my address book, it is doing the same with other addresses
