We have been using Thunderbird with a Cox email account. Cox has just transferred all its customers to Yahoo. I want to use Thunderbird with Yahoo. How do I set that up?

Start new Windows session. Start Thunderbird and works OK. Shut Thunderbird down and try to re-start during same Windows session and it will not launch. Reboot Windows and try to start Thunderbird and works OK. Alternatively, going into Task Manager there will be a number of Thunderbird processes running. If I manually end them all (while Thunderbird is NOT active) then I can restart as normal too. This all began with 124.0 Beta 1. Never had the issue prior.

Also, Thunderbird crashes if restarting within the app. By this I mean clicking the X it appears to close (excepting those persistent processes running) but "Restart Thunderbird" such as to launch Troubleshooting mode or from the "Restart to update Thunderbird" config crashes the app with 100% consistency.

Running 115.5.0 and want to export my contact list to be able to use it in a spreadsheet. The export function in the Tools dropdown only allows for export of "accounts, messages, address books and settings to a ZIP file." What happened to the ability to export just the address book separately to a csv file? Please help. Thank you.

Hi, I installed the latest Thunderbird on OS X Monterey for a friend and am using an Imap email account. Sending and receiving emails is working correctly. The problem is viewing what is in the inbox, it shows a certain number in the inbox but not all of those messages are showing up, some are missing. I've played around with the settings but I didn't see anythng that could help me out. On my own computer this works correctly, when I see a number in the inbox, it does show all of those email messages. Not sure what is going on, maybe it's simple like a setting not done correctly, or I missed something. Anyway, any help would be appreciated.

Every year I am required to update my university's net id password. Normally T'bird responds asking for a password update. Not this year; I am just cut off.

I followed all instructions from the T-help site. But it is impossible to update the "saved password." "edit" is not allowed.

When T-bird did ask me to connect via Google, see the screen shot, the next screen locks with a 403 error message, also attached.

I would like to continue to use Tbird, but this is making it impossible. My university's IT people had me download the T-bird again, but the problem persists.

Please advise soon.

I want to single space my out going messages. I changed the paragraph setting from body text to paragraph format, this temporarily fixed it but it went back to double spacing

How can I turn off the threading of my emails? Its driving me crazy as when an email comes in after a short time it disappears into the threads and then I have to open each thread to find out who sent the email. At one stage there were 6 emails noted near the inbox but no new unthreaded message, all went to respective threads. Very time wasting.

Open thunderbird up and want to print an email. Most of the time the printer is the default. Once I print and then go to the next email to print, the default printer is gone and the only option is save to PDF. I can close thunderbird and reopen it and seems to alleviate the issue for a few times then back save to PDF only. Strange issue. I have reinstalled thunderbird a few times. All other programs on the pc I print from always use the defaut printer.

Hello Magda, Thanks for the answer to my error message I wrote to you yesterday about a problem with the Thunderbird program. I don't want to repeat everything I've written, but I would really like to get someone who knows Thunderbird to provide an answer to solve my problem; Otherwise, I will delete the app on all of our computers in the company. (We work on 3 Windows computers and 2 Mac devices.) The error occurs on the Windows devices. I ask you not to refer me to any forum again; I didn't have a good experience there. The colleague needs the email program; Unfortunately, you cannot send or receive emails. The installation of Thunderbird has always been flawless, but for about 3 weeks now the window asking you to enter the password has appeared again and again. However, if you enter it correctly, an error message appears.

(Wir arbeiten an 3 Windows-Rechnern und an 2 Mac-Geräten.) Der Fehler tritt bei den Windows-Geräten auf. Ich bitte Sie, mich nicht wieder an irgendein Forum zu verweisen; da habe ich keine gute Erfahrungen gemacht. Die Kollegin und die Kollegen brauchen das E-Mail-Programm; leider können sie keine Mails senden und auch nicht empfangen. Die Installation von Thunderbird war immer einwandfrei, nun erscheint seit ca. 3 Wochen immer wieder das Fenster mit der Aufforderung, das Passwort einzugeben. Wenn man es richtig eingibt, erscheint aber eine Fehlermeldung.

My ISP is Spectrum, they said issue is with Thunderbird, incoming s/b 993, outgoing 587, which I confirmed. How can this be fixed?

Numerous users of Thunderbird have expressed their total dissatisfaction with the recent upgrade, especially the new font and layout in the email lists. Why has the Mozilla team ignored requests to return to the previous load to restore the font and list displays? Do you expect users to support your product when they totally do not like the new version?

I have an html signature, I made it several years ago. I have NO IDEA how I did it, and now it needs to be changed. My district is different. Can't change it from within Tbird. Would somebody please let me know where I can find that signature html?

Is there a built-in way or an addon that will allow the ability to create folders as a filter action?

I can move or copy to an existing folder but is there a way to make a folder in a specific location with a specific name based on previous parameters.

Thunderbird seems to have so many minor changes and alterations in the recent past, that basic usability is affected. Not a good thing.

Once before, a few years ago, Thunderbird got so out of control that I had to go to a different mail client. Are we back to that?

Hi, since I use a set of different browsers for different tasks, it would be great if there was an easy way of opening links from within thunderbird emails to your browser of choice. E.g. via right mouse button: Open Link in ... I use that method in other applications frequently.

I have installed Thunderbird on a new (Windows 11) lap-top. When I get to "Account setup>>Set up existing email address", and enter my password, I get the response "Configuration found in Mozilla ISP database", but when I click "Done," there is a long hesitation on "Checking Password", and finally the message pops up "Unable to log in at server. Probably wrong configuration, username, or password." I know my username and password are correct. All configurations appear to match those on my old lap-top. Server is att.net.

I prefer Thunderbird for composing, reading, and replying to emails, and have a decade's worth filed and stored locally on an older lap-top, which I will want to import.

I have had a Thunderbird email program for several years. Recently, when I send an email a copy of it is not saved in the "Sent" folder. My emails are received by reciepents. How do I fix the problem?
