My @gn.apc.org (IMAP) inbox has a limited capacity to display, to keep important email. They simply drop-off the list. It currently saves only today's emails. This cannot be correct. I have attached a timeline. Appreciate some info & advice

Is it possible to get different sounds for different accounts?

I use Thunderbird on my computer and have several email accounts. Is it possible to get a different sound for incoming mail in each account? If so, how?

I use Thunderbird for 18 email accounts and I have the "Inbox" of each of them in the "Favorite Folders" list. I would like to put them in the order of my preference, e.g. ones I use most on top of those I use seldom. It seems like I ought to be able to just click and drag them into order, but that doesn't work. How can I do that?

tryed V115b6 did not like it, what hidden files did it change ?? I recopied TB V88, Library files from backup and still get Welcome to TB page to setup my email  :-(  :-( Pls Msg me at [removed phone# and email from public support forum], HELP

Imported address data from Outlook, the Thunderbird address books lists last names only under "names," email column is blank, phone numbers column lists email addresses and addresses column lists phone numbers. Selecting "Restore column order" has no effect. Any advice welcome. Thanks.

Where are by Thunderbird gmails stored? I am running two email server programs right now (Outlook and Thunderbird). Outlook stores gmail in the cloud and there are thousands of them, Naturally I do not want TBird to store all emails on my hard drive but I am told they are on my hard drive. If so this will eat up ALL my disc space. Where does TBird store my emails? If on my drive then how to I control how many are saved there and what will saved in the gmail cloud?

I want to support Mozilla but have no need for the complexity of Thunderbird. I find navigating the huge number of options hugely timewasting, eg I inadvertently remove some headers but can find no way of undoing this. Is there a cut down, simplified version I can use?

Why does the Tbird directory show two accounts with different content', for the same email address? Totally confusing. See attached screen shot redacted for privacy -- the email addresses are the same. One indicates 7 and the other 25 in the inbox. WHAT is going on?

Will my Thunderbird account stay open with Cox's new platform? I have had a Thunderbird email for at least 15 years and do not want to change to Yahoo as Cox is trying to implement. I am presently getting messages but want to know if I will continue to get ALL of my email if I leave things alone. Please help me.

I have Cox.net as my email, a few years ago I switched to Thunderbird, I like it so much better.. But now Cox.net is moving their web base to yahoo mail, yet still using my original email bjacob3@cox.net.. So I had to go to yahoo and set up my original email thru them and change password for them.. Yet even tho I won't go thru yahoo, I still want my thunderbird to work.. I notice now that I still can get to my thunderbird mail, like I always do, yet I don't see any new mail coming in.. what do I do?

Cox has moved its email from its servers to Yahoo and while the "cox.net" stays the same I am not able to get my email through Thu Thunderbird as there are 2 places in the account Server settings that need to be changed, 1) Server name, and 2) Local Directory. I have had no luck in changing either as I really don't know what to put in either one. HELP11

"Please verify that your Outgoing server (SMTP) settings are correct and try again." I've tried every combination and still can't send emails. Optus insist that their issues have been resolved. Please help.

On opening Tbird I have started getting a Google pop up asking me to sign in to Google to continue to Tbird. This is just annoying as I can access all my email accounts without signing in to Google. I just have to close the annoying pop up every time I open Tbird. How can I stop this happening?

Upon startup, top email displayed is the 2nd email present in the inbox. If 1st email is one at top when leaving TB, next startup will show the 2nd email on top. You can then scroll up and see the top one. Likewise, if a new email come in, it also shows the one below that as the top one and must scroll up to see it. No emails are lost, just a display thing. Don't recall which version this started, but it didn't use to do this.
