We'd like to enable OAuth login (and along with 2FA if possible) with thunderbird, does thunder support that other than gmail? For example, we have oauthbearer&xoauth2 enabled on Dovecot IMAP, thunderbird seems to have failed in establishing the communication, if it does not support as for now, when will this be supported? Our community really loves Thunderbird, it'd be sad to see it goes away because of this lacking feature.

I have a folder with many images and it is easiest to search than to find a pic manually. Clicking inside the "Seach" area at the top causes the crash. Clicking on any picture directly works as expected.

But I'm limited to some pretty basic colors rather than the whole gamut of colors that I can choose from any of the palettes available.
This problem seems to have popped up a few versions of Thunderbird ago. I'm now using 68.3.0, and I keep hoping it will get fixed. I have created new user profiles in OS X. I have re-installed the operating system, both High Sierra and Catalina. So I think that I've routed out the possibility that its a system setting.
Can anybody else duplicate my problem or am I just the weird one out?

It's very possible that this was the first user I emailed back when I first installed Thunderbird/Mozilla Suite/Netscape, or that I had assumed that identity at some point.
That name is nowhere to be found in my account settings, identities, or config files. I'm stumped.

I've been using Thunderbird for may years as my default email platform on my desktop PC (currently running Windows 10) for my email accounts as I enjoy its functionality. In June of 2019 iCloud.com email accounts required an "App-Specific Password" in order for Thunderbird to be allowed access. In June of 2019 I generated an App Specific password in iCloud.com and everything worked well. If I ever closed down Thunderbird the next time that I opened the program I was requested to enter the password. I entered my App Specific password and everything worked fine.
Recently (Nov 2019) Thunderbird has not been recognizing my App Specific password and I have been forced to create a new one at iCloud.com. This would occur whether or not I exited the Thunderbird program. This has progressed from a daily recurrence, to a multiple times a day recurrence, to an hourly recurrence, to the point where it is occurring every few minutes, and even to the point where a new App Specific password is being required to view a different folder in Thunderbird.
This is very frustrating. I'm just curious if anyone else is having this same issue? ...and what I can do to have this issue rectified?

I've said it before but TB updates are getting to be as problematic as Window updates.
Don't the idiot developers understand why this is not acceptable? I can barely use Thunderbird tonight.
TB may be free but I make voluntary contributions to Mozilla but not for this shit.
Continue like this and very few people will bother to write add-ons for TB and very few people will bother to install them either.
TB say that updates have improvements but it's one step forward and 11 steps back tonight for me.
Can a volunteer answer this please and pass it on to development?

Upgraded to Mageia 7 and Thunderbird is no longer marking junk mail as read. Junk mail is being moved to the proper Junk folder, but I have to manually mark those messages as read. The box for "Mark messages to be determined junk as read" in global account preferences is checked. This function worked just fine prior to the upgrade.
Is there a bug here that I am unaware of or am I missing something?

On occasion, particular messages don't show up in my inbox. The inbox shows that there's an unread message in the inbox, but the message is nowhere to be found. I sort by unread and it still doesn't show up. This happens with one particular sender that I'm aware of and has happened with this sender's past few emails. I can open up the email in web browser of Outlook and see the message there on those, but not Thunderbird.
