Hello, 1. This is Sheila Herman again. I'm having problems with my other computer. I have two accounts: Harry's (herman.harry@twc.com) and mine (swherman@twc.com). When I tried to send an email, this message pops up: Login to server mail.twc.com with username swherman@twc.com failed, and I can't receive messages too! 2. There is only 1 Outgoing Server (SMTP) at the bottom of the left pane, and should there be 2? I would be grateful if someone could help me solve this annoying problem. I am running Thunderbird ESR 128 as a snap on Ubuntu 24.04. I have several different email accounts and until a couple of days ago, when I replied to an email on account 2 or 3 it was sent as from that particular account. Now it is being sent as if from account 1. Trying to send an email as if from account 2 or 3 results in a failed-to- send message. I have noticed that when I look at the from field for accounts nos 2 and three the following is being inserted before the normal email address "NSIMsgidentity: 1d6 (or 1d7). Can anyone please advise me why this is happening and how to recover the ability to reply / send an email from accounts 2 an 3 as if from those accounts rather than from account 1? Thanks in advance

Recent new system. Previously used Office Outlook and backed everything up to a PST file. Found I couldn't import into Thunderbird, needed to install Outlook first and import it there. Did that. So I have an Office 365 Subscription active and have Outlook active. Now I'm trying to get those messages to Thunderbird, but when I go to Import and select Import From Outlook I get a red error "No profile found" and can't continue. Is there something I need to do regarding Outlook for Thunderbird to recognize it?

I am using 64bit Windows 11 Home. This happened suddenly without any changes on my part that I know of.
Thunderbird suddenly started freezeing right after startup. The only thing I can do is login with the master password then the regular thunderbird screen opens, but I cannot click on anything. Soon after the screen is greyed out. However I can close the program down with the red "x" in the top right corner. It opens a dialog that gives me the opens to close down or wait to respond. The close option works.
The only hint I can see from the frozen screen is that the local Folder seems to have a problem as a subfolder has now multiple copies of itself. It seems to create a new copy of that subfolder every time I try to start the program.
So far I tried reinstalling/updating TB, as I assumed an update had maybe malfunctioned, (it was stuck on version 128, since I could not open TB for about a week now) but upgrading to to version 138 did not help. I also tried starting TB in troubleshoot mode, which made no difference I also tried starting TB while windows was in safe mode, which made no difference.
I read around but people that have problems with TB freezing seem to not have the freeze happen before they can do anything.
I assume something is wrong in my profile, maybe the local folder? But I have no idea to fix anything, since I cannot do anything at all in TB.

Thunderbird 138/139, Windows 11 Pro 23H2. While composing a message, after a few lines the app freezes. Both the compose window and the main TB window freeze. Only opening the Windows Task manager allows me to close them. This did not happen with earlier versions.
If I save the message every few seconds while composing I can get most of the message back and continue after restarting TB. This behavior is the same in both the normal and troubleshooting TB modes. I can't even find a crash log to send to Mozilla.
Where shall I look next?

Thunderbird is not synchronizing with Mailfence. My other email accounts (Outlook, Gmail) work fine. TB connects to them, downloads message headers and displays the number of messages correctly. With Mailfence, the messages stop at "connected to imap.mailfence.com" and stalls there. The message disappears after a few seconds and nothing else happens. This happened this morning when I first launched TB. I then got an update to 128.11.1. No change. I did receive the Windows Update 2025-06 Cumulative Update sometime overnight prior to launching TB.

IMAP with Kerberos/GSSAPI is works correctly. Evolution works correctly with the same SMTP settings (it logs in and sends emails).

Thunderbird stopped receiving emails from AOL. Stopped a few days ago and suddenly started working a few hours later. Now it has stopped for days. I can get my AOL emails by signing into AOL but I prefer receiving them in Thunderbird. I checked to see if my other devices have the same problem - they do. I cannot send messages from Thunderbird AOL account. Thunderbird does work with the Gmail account I have setup inThunderbird. What happened?
I checked with AOL. It appears that Thunderbird can send emails from my AOL (Verizon) account but it can receive them. This is either a Thunderbird issue or an issue with our Internet Service provider (Verizon).

Issue 1: When using Shift+F5 to Get All New Messages: This command used to go through my accounts within several seconds; but now this can take several minutes. What changed to cause this?
Issue 2: I have one account that is having server problems... causing must click popups in TB. How do I exclude this account when using Shift+F5? I've tried Unchecking the boxes for "Check for new messages at startup" and "Check for new messages every xx minutes". And one help result suggests "Disable immediate notifications: Uncheck"; but I do not see such a setting.
