Hello, For some reason, over the past couple of months I have been searching for varied emails and they are missing! At one point, I found that some had been put in an archive folder (that I did NOT set up) and they were recent emails. I removed them from the folder, placed them back in the regular inbox and deleted that folder. When I could not find another very important series of emails today, after searching numerous ways, I looked in the server and missing emails are there. I did look at a number of email threads where other people reported similar problems... but couldn't figure out what applied to my situation and how to fix this. To show a specific example, I attached two images ... the first is my Thunderbird email account that shows one Email only on Feb 18, 2024. The Juno server image shows 7 emails on that same date, four which were important contracts that were sent to me. Can you please help me locate and retrieve these and other missing emails? Hello! I am facing the issue with time zone translations. Here is what I do. First, I create event on web-interface of the google calendar. That account is linked to TB's calendar. This calendar has settings for my timezone as in the first screenshot, that is GMT+3 for Kyiv, Ukraine. It is actually GMT+2 + daylight saving hour in effect. Country is also set to Ukraine. Next, my Windows 11 system is set to set time and timezone automatically, region - Ukraine. It displays UTC+2 Helsinki, Kyiv,... I guess it's Windows settings display quirk, because time is correct and WSL console shows

My TB's calendar is set to have system's timezone as in 3rd screenshot.

Now if I see my event in TB calendar, it is placed one hour later, say 9 am event starts at 10. So reminders also come hour later. Also strange thing is that event properties in TB show correct time like 9:00 till 10:40, but for some strange timezone Europe/Zaporozhye, as in 4th picture.

However, if I set TB's calendar manually to Europe/Kiev (which should be Kyiv, but that's another story), then events are shifted hour up to their right place, 9 am. So this is my issue: when I set calendar forcibly to Kyiv timezone, it does translate it right. When I ask calendar to rely on system's timezone, which indeed is also Kyiv, then I get one hour behind.

Thunderbird auto updated to 115.10.1 and now it is behaving strangely.

1. The Message Filter has "Junk" at the bottom of the list of filters and anything that is not sent to a folder gets sent to the Junk folder. Instead all the junk is going to the Inbox.

2. Folders that have new email show up in blue highlighted folder as they should. But if I select those emails and read them, they remain highlighted but without the blue color.

3. Sometimes when I delete an email after reading, it deletes for a moment and then returns to the folder as unread. Multiple attempts to delete fail.

Already invested time creating some html code for email signature on thunderbird. Wanted to create something prepared for dark modes on IOS. Everything was fine until I detected on IOS (dark mode)some white rectangles outside my email signature code. It´s a problem that I cannot solve because it´s outside my code, and I´m wondering if you are already aware of this issue.

Junk, Bin, Deleted confusion in email account There is confusion in Settings regarding Junk,Spam, Bin,or Deleted. When setting up Spam checks it refers to Junk folder where I have customarily used Spam folder and or Deleted/ Bin folder options which am now not able to set in the options available. An IMAP mail system is configured on a server running Debian 12. While there are never any problems via webmail, reception and sending work occasionally via Thunderbird 115.9. Even in "Troubleshooting Mode" it doesn't work. The server has good hardware characteristics and there are no applications that can slow it down, nor do I think it is a firewall problem or incorrect parameters otherwise it would never work. The error is related to timeout reaching the server. What can I check to find out where the problem is?

Hello from one of my mails I can`t see the external issues. I gave permission to show all content in the mail, and that was stored in the list permission to show all external content, but still the content is not shown. Can you please help me, and tell me what I can do so I can see all the external issues in the mail.

My Thunderbird email on my PC will only open intermittently in the last few days. Re-starting my computer sometimes helps, but only temporarily. There are no error messages- just nothing happens. I am still able to access email on other devices - just not on PC - which I use a lot. I'd be grateful for ideas of how to fix this. Thank you, Pam Rycroft

Will there ever be an option in the calendar to schedule links to video conferencing platforms like zoom or teams or google meet?

Lot's of other 'smart' calendars have this as an option. For example, when I use google calendar on a browser there is a zoom plugin so when I schedule an appointment it automatically generates a meeting invite for the attendees and put the meeting on my zoom app.

I know that this is probably reliant more on the companies [Google, Microsoft, Zoom] to make an extension for this, but it would be great if this could be implemented in the future.

All of a sudden, over 6 months of my "deleted" items dropped off. I like to keep up to 9 months items for history reference if needed. Is this an automatic thing, or if, can it be adjusted by settings?

I need the option to convert message date to local time on forwarding, instead of UTC + - from the original header.

This is the expected behavior in every other client I have used.

Even if the original sender is in the same city as me, chances are their originating server could be somewhere else and their originating time preference may not be set correctly. So it's more useful and logical to end user to show that in my local time zone.

Please, at least make it a user preference option.

Until recently when a spam email was received, I could go to my Message Filters and one set up as DELETE. After entering the spam email address I could then select RUN NOW and the spam email would be deleted. When I click RUN NOW at present nothing happens. How can I get this filter to work again.

Windows 11; Thunderbird 115.10.1

I prefer to see only new messages in my Inbox. To that end, I've chosen the icon that says "Show only unread messages;" but it will not stay chosen. Every time I leave TB and come back I have to chose the icon again or see all the messages I've seen and reacted to before.

Is there a way to make the choice to see only unread messages and have it stay in use?

Thunderbird Version 115.10.1 on Windows 10

I wrote my own POP3 server and it largely seems to work apart from when Thunderbird tries to RETR the email messages at which point I get the error "Unable to write the email to the mailbox. Make sure the file system allows you write privileges, and you have enough disk space to copy the mailbox.".

If I drag a saved version of that same email that fails to be retrieved into Thunderbird , it can write it to the Inbox without issue. That means Thunderbird has permission to write to the Inbox file and so it is not a permission issue and there is enough space. I feel like it is more likely to be something I am doing wrong in my protocol implementation. For example, could I get this error if I misrepresented the octet count? Also I notice that even though my CAPA reply does not include UIDL, Thunderbird still seems to send that request and should get the response "-ERR Unknown command".

I created a compressed (zip?) file from my prior computer. I have not been able to figure out how to get the data from that file onto my new computer. My primary need is for my tasks and events calendar. I have been able to access email accounts without referencing the compressed/zip file. When I insert the flash drive, a message pops up asking me to "insert the last disk of the multi volume set" I don't understand this request. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me

I have been using Thunderbird for years. Always updated to the latest version. My current Thunderbird addresses are setup through Hostgator hosting and I've rarely had an issue. I recently set up a Zoho email address and added it to my Thunderbird platform so I can send and receive emails there. Problem is, when I send a test from one of my long time Thunderbird emails to the new email that goes through Zoho, it never shows up in my Thunderbird inbox. Never shows up in my Zoho inbox either. I can send from the new Zoho email to one of my established emails no problem using Thunderbird. But it doesn't work the other way around. I've checked everything I can think of--IMAP server settings, SMTP settings, added MX records, you name it. Not sure where the hang up is. Hopefully someone can help, thanks.
