Hyperlinked text does not paste into Thunderbird email. Only the text pastes in. The hyperlinks do not. If I paste in text that has several hyperlinks already embedded only the text pastes in. The hyperlinks are lost. I must paste the hyperlinked text with the URLs. How do I do this. All searches are irrelevant. I know hot to insert URL into new text but that is not the issue. My text to be pasted already has many hyperlinks in the text and I do not want to laboriousness do them all again. When I paste in a paragraph of test that already has several hyperlinks I want that ALL to past in. How to I do this?

I permanently deleted all messages in a folder (call it "Unwanted"), then moved Unwanted to Trash, then deleted it permanently. It appeared to be gone. However the next time I opened Thunderbird, Unwanted was back. I tried this several times with the same result. I tried renaming it to "DeleteMe" but then I got the message "The folder could not be renamed. Perhaps the folder is being reparsed, or the new name is not a valid folder name."

Once again, I "permanently" deleted Unwanted and closed Thunderbird. Using a file manager, I found and deleted all relevant folders and files matching "Trash.*" and "Unwanted*.*" and rebooted the computer. However when I opened Thunderbird, an empty "Trash" folder was regenerated as expected, but the "Unwanted" folder was back.

How can I get rid of Unwanted? Thanks!

Cox has moved its email from its servers to Yahoo and while the "cox.net" stays the same I am not able to get my email through Thu Thunderbird as there are 2 places in the account Server settings that need to be changed, 1) Server name, and 2) Local Directory. I have had no luck in changing either as I really don't know what to put in either one. HELP11

I am using a Mac with Big Sur (macOS Monterey, Version 12.7.5), and my email is POP, using Thunderbird Version 115.11.0.The message count of my inbox is wrong. It is two (2) more than it actually is. Right now there are ten (10) messages in my inbox BUT the message count of my inbox says twelve (12). Please correct.

I changed my BT email password but cannot send emails from Thunderbird. I can receive them. I receive this message - Unable to authenticate to Outgoing server (SMTP) mail.btinternet.com. My BT email works fine for both receiving and sending so the problem is with Thunderbird outgoing mail settings

Cox has recently given their email to yahoo. While the cox.net email works on yahoo mail when I tried to configure my cox.net email address on tbird mail it failed Will my cox.net email address once again work on tbird mail Thank you

TB 115.8.0.1, Mac OS Sonoma 14.5 Over the years my Address Book has acquired many separate entries for the same individual, with two or more (obsolete) email addresses, for example. Also, one with email address only, and another with phone number, plus various pieces of contact data in one or both cards. If there is a way to compare, choose correct data, and combine contact files, I can't find it. If not, I'd like to propose an enhancement. Thank you.

Hello, I own and operate my own business in the automotive repair sector however my direct computer knowledge is not sufficient in many cases. My issue is that my Gmail and Thunderbird is linked to send messages to my clients for estimate purposes. Incoming mail to Gmail as well as outgoing from Gmail gets copied into Thunderbird. Assuming that Thunderbird had so many emails on the screen I asked the internet on how to do a mass email delete. Now I assume "that" is the reason why all my labels/folders are now empty I can both Gmail and Thunderbird? These folders held important invoices, contact information and just important information for me to go back into should a situation require it. How do I recover all of my deleted messages in Thunderbird? Will this repopulate the folders with my missing information?? The individual who set it up for me is an expert in the field however I am unable to make any contact with him. He's not responding to any of my messages or calls. Please help. Now please remember I am very ignorant when it comes to this type of experience. Please provide me with the most elementary explanations for this recovery process. Good news For some months now, I have stayed on a much earlier version of 115. Today I updated to the latest available... no issues arising so I happily conclude that Tbird is stable.

"Please verify that your Outgoing server (SMTP) settings are correct and try again." I've tried every combination and still can't send emails. Optus insist that their issues have been resolved. Please help.

my windows 11 was crashed and browsing was not working so i repaired my window, thunderbird lost all profiles and data from the program but all the emails and folders names i had are visible in local directory, so i tried to setup new account and then change local directory to my old directory. i did this few times before and it worked perfectly but now this method is not working and only handful of emails imported i need help and solution, these are years of emails and very important last few weeks important emails are missing

I have changed my BT password and now can't send emails via Thunderbird. I can send them with BT though. This is the answer I get when I try to send an email -

I'm kicking the tires on this and the biggest obstacle for me right now is that when I view the calendar in a week view, the day starts at midnight. I would like to hide midnight to 6am.

I followed these steps, that did not work:

1. Navigate to the hamburger menu in the upper right corner. 2. Select settings. 3. In the calendar tab, I changed day starts to 6am, and day ends to 9pm.

There is no way to save this, so I assume it just works. However, when I navigate back to the calendar, nothing has changed. The day still starts at midnight.

Am I possibly looking in the wrong place? Is there a way to customize this as I've described?

I have Cox.net as my email, a few years ago I switched to Thunderbird, I like it so much better.. But now Cox.net is moving their web base to yahoo mail, yet still using my original email bjacob3@cox.net.. So I had to go to yahoo and set up my original email thru them and change password for them.. Yet even tho I won't go thru yahoo, I still want my thunderbird to work.. I notice now that I still can get to my thunderbird mail, like I always do, yet I don't see any new mail coming in.. what do I do?

my email will go offline while in use or while other internet programs working fine and only allows "send later". sometimes comes back shortly other times can be hours later. How can I check status and bump it back online without having to shut down and lose work.

How many times per day, and over a period of how many years, will it be necessary to tell Mozilla Thunderbird Email that I DO NOT want Mozilla Thunderbird Email to:

Will my Thunderbird account stay open with Cox's new platform? I have had a Thunderbird email for at least 15 years and do not want to change to Yahoo as Cox is trying to implement. I am presently getting messages but want to know if I will continue to get ALL of my email if I leave things alone. Please help me.
