I want to update to the latest version but the "Text selection magnifier" is stopping me from updating firefox android. Because I find it pretty useless and very distracting when viewing text while selecting the text in a website/article. Please provide a toggle for it in the Settings.

Can't move Collections from my old phone to my new phone I have pressed sync BTW it still doesn't appear on the new phone. The photo is the two Collections containing 100 web addresses each on my old phone.

I try using the pair feature but each time I scan, I get a page showing "Did you use the system camera? You must pair from within the Firefox app" Even though I did pair from the Firefox app. I have tried multiple times, always the same issue. I have noted from a web search that the subject of Javascript in Firefox (Android) has caused issues for some users of this browser.

I understand that JavaScript is now enabled by default in the standard version of Firefox (Android). It appears that once upon a time there was a config setting that could be tweaked to switch JavaScript on or off, but that setting may no longer work. Additionally, I also understand there are add-ons for the Android version of Firefox that can, amongst other things, apparently switch JavaScript on or off.

People here might be surprised to learn that the minimalist Firefox Focus (Android) browser already has a built-in, easily accessible, switch to turn JavaScript on or off:

Settings > Privacy & Security > Web Content > Block JavaScript

So, the point I would like to raise with Mozilla (but it seems to be impossible to contact them directly) is, if it is available in Firefox Focus (Android), why the heck is this switch not available in the mainstream, standard version of Firefox (Android)? It makes absolutely no sense not to have it, surely?

I would suggest that a good place to include a JavaScript switch would be in the 'Site permissions' section of Firefox (Android) settings. It is merely a suggestion as, for example, within the rather useful competitor Vivaldi (Android) browser there is such a switch located here:

Settings > WEB PAGES > Site settings > JavaScript

As for why there should be a JavaScript switch within Firefox (Android), that question is largely irrelevant. Mozilla have already seen a need to include it in Firefox Focus (Android), so what possible good reason could there be for not including it in Firefox (Android)? It mystifies me, and it's omission is an inconvenience too.

Does anyone here have a sensible answer to this question?

Before Firefox for Android v100 it was possible to show only pinned sites in the top sites section in the home screen. Now alongside my pinned sites (currently 3) there are 2 rows of 4 sites and 2 pages. All these other sites are pages related to my work, full of test URLs, 500 or 404 pages... and so on. How do I revert it to the old behavior?

How do I clear the cache? Online sources and Mozilla articles say to go into Settings and select "clear private data" but there is no "clear private data" option in settings.

I'm using the latest version of Mozilla browser for Android.

The problem that i am getting is that when i am downloading a file from the browser , it only shows on the screen notification panel but not in the 'downloads' section of the browser. And when i pause the download, even after having downloaded more than 50 percent it would completely disappear and then i find no option to resume the download.. This is a major issue kindly help me sort it out.

I used to be able to place shortcuts that I wanted on the Firefox homepage now it seems to be my history or nothing. Can we go back to allowing customised homepage. I don't want random stuff.

I can't find links and tabs which I send from my PC's Firefox to android's Firefox. I have two devices synced. One is my PC another is my android. So, where do those sent tabs and links appear on the phone? I checked the tabs but didn't find any sent tabs or links.

i have a few websites added to top sites and show on homepage, but after the last update, the history record shows after the top sites.

i need a option to hide the history highlights on homepage.

Why can't you sync your Collections between different devices? I have a lot of web addresses saved on my other devices but I can't seem to "move" my saved Collections to my current device?

Recently upgraded from Firefox Android version 99 to 100. I want my homepage to show only top sites (pinned sites) and nothing else. That can be arranged on version previous to 100. Firefox version 100 shows my previous history also. Setting do not make it clear how to show ONLY Pinned Sites. Or do the developer in their wisdom remove that option?

Hello, I tried allowing a certain site (work related) to use location services on my phone but Firefox blocks it. I tried manually changing it to no avail. Even deleting site data didn't work. How do I fix this? And is there some way to view my permissions for a site without entering it?

Hello, my saved passwords from the Firefox browser on my laptop doesn't sync to my android phone, android tablet, or my iPad.

It only seems to be the passwords that aren't syncing. I've tried pairing with the qr code and pairing by signing in with email. My passwords aren't syncing. I've changed browser and auto fill settings on my devices to Firefox. It's still not working. Please help.

Before a recent update, I had my xnew tab page" set up the way I wanted it, so it only showed a few pinned bookmarks and nothing else. After the update, my new tab page is now showing items from my history after my pinned bookmarks.

I have the "recently visited" toggle turned off in "customize homepage", but they're still there.

So, how do I get rid of this clutter?
