Few days ago I downloaded something, but canceled it from the notification. Now a notification with the headline "Downloads" and the file name below keeps popping up every half an hour or so, when Firfox is closed or in the background. I can't click on it and restart it.

So, I've been thinking about downloading the Firefox browser for Android but I am worried.

I saw this among the app permissions on Google Play Store: "download files without notification". And I am worried.

And I need to know:

- What files does Firefox download without notification?

- Why does Firefox download files without notification?

- When does Firefox download files without notification?

- Why and how should I trust an app to the have the ability to download anything it desires at anytime it desires without my knowledge or my choice to accept or decline?

Could you please help me and tell how this app is safe?

As the title says, is there a way to edit file's name before downloading it? Any extension or anything? As in, e.g I'd like to download a photo but change it's file name before I do so, so I don't have to go into files app on my phone in order to modify it. (Sorry if it's easy to do and I just can't find it but I'm super new to Mozilla and used Opera Mobile before, which had that option, so I'm used to it)

After updating Firefox for Android, my phone started rebooting after downloading any file. This makes it very difficult to use the browser and I had to use Chrome temporarily. The Crashes tab in About Firefox is empty. Hi, I downloaded webpages as pdfs on FF android and have noticed every page has the timestamp on it. How do l get rid of that? I notice in Chrome it doesn't do that. (Nor does it have the link on every page). I prefer Firefox but want it to download a simple pdf. Thanks for any help.

Firefox crashes Android system and System UI processes after every image download.

I am on Android Firefox and I accidentally chose "Always" on the pop-up asking where I want my downloaded items to go. I want to change it because where the files are now sent is inconvenient at best but i cannot find such an option to change my preference in either the Firefox settings bar nor my phone's device settings.
